I'm out of the loop, how did the Kim feet meme originate?
HowardSo, let's have a retrospective.
Who were your favorite new characters in BCS. In order for me it's:
- Lalo (by far honestly)
- Kim
- Nacho
- Annoying camera guy
Was cool seeing in the end how everything turned out with Saul and his adventures in Omaha, but wish we would've had more of the rest of the cast as well. Of course the show was about Saul. But I was just on youtube and this random clip came on if Lalo and Nacho discussing Krazy-8 while eating tacos. And it got me to thinking. What if we would've gotten another season or half season or even a few episodes. Can fill the gaps between Lalo death and when we first met Gus in BB. Like Tuco getting out of jail and taking over for Lalo, which I suppose is what happened with Hector in the wheelchair, as well as Krazy-8 and the Chinese guy and how they got involved with Jesse. Did they just recently meet or have known each other for years? Were they the same age and go to school together? Did Jesse know about Nacho? Which I doubt since on Saul debut in BB he didn't seem to know of him or Lalo so I'm guessing Jesse got into the game after Nacho died. But exploring more of that dynamic. As well as seeing the lab finally built. I'm sure there were a couple of storylines they couldn't do due to it being way too far in the past. It's difficult with a show like this cuz there's so many characters and stories to tell, even 2 shows wasn't enough to tell everything.
yeah true that. one thing that would be cool, which i don't know if any director could accomplish but Vince Gilligan definitely had the potential, is running two series at the same time with a similar endpoint or intertwined plots. especially one with various potential subplots. it has to be someone with long term vision tho. and can work as a regular or best as a prequel. Saul wasn't a major character compared to Walt or Jesse in BB but his origin story was told. Imagine running one of Walt or Jesse right along BCS with some of the characters appearing in minor roles on the other show here and there since I'm sure paths crossed. but can dive deeper into each side, like even with the Gus in Santiago thing. Start one spinoff of that and his early entry to the cartel and then intertwine it with BCS when he first appeared. of course the director and show creators gotta be able to run different plots at the same time and have two shows going without one overstepping the other in the plot. one thing I would say, even tho its a prequel show as well, and we already saw the main series, is about House of the Dragon. Imagine a show about the Targeryans or however the hell its spelled lol, and then one of the Lannisters or Starks running along it, telling the story from both points of view and then crossing together the final season and leading into Game of Thrones. Not many tv shows have that option. Especially hurts when the cast grows older and it takes a few years between shows like it did with BB and BCS. Walt and Jesse weren't as young when they appeared in BCS so its limited to how far back they could've gone. Tho running one show is expensive, can't imagine two. Everything has its limits. If we ever get another spinoff or sequel, I'm sure it'll be great but may not feel the same with the cast getting older and some maybe not being able to appear. We also never found out what happened in Santiago with Gus.
I don't disagree with what you're saying but Vince Gilligan made "Breaking Bad" partially because "X-Files" fell off due to running too long. The show should've ended around season 6....it went on for 11 seasons total, 8 of which he was around for.
After that he swore he'd never let a show go on longer than the audience wanted. Which is why people were asking for more "BB", and now "BCS".
Fred.
