I see people saying Saul got greedy when he broke into the house....I didn't see it as that.
I saw it as he had to do petty crimes (stealing watches, making himself a drink, etc.) because he broke into the house. So when the guy wakes up he assumes it was teenagers or something.
Granted, Saul could've banked on the guy being so fukked up he assumed he broke the door himself....but me personally if I saw my house broken into, and nothing was missing....that would actually make me more nervous.
I didn't have any issue with Marion figuring out who Saul is. Old people are the #1 target of scammers and con men....Gene shows up out of nowhere, super helpful and friendly....she sees him acting weird around her son, who has already been in trouble with the law....the bail bondsman comment, about a place he said he's never been....
Even if Gene was a stand up guy, all that shyt looks super suspicious.
And doing an internet search for "ABQ conman" would bring up Saul, because of his past as Slippin' Jimmy.

And she never had any dealings with Saul and the money laundering. She just gave him the money for the Ted thing.
