amazing episode. No more plot armor for saul. 1 left. Damn it's gonna be sad.

lord knows it wore thin this season…the “tension” created this season was more a nuisance to me bcuz I’m like we know he’s not getting caught until probably the last damn episode…so it just kind of felt silly at times imo

the dog story…it was kind of absurd but she had no real reason to question it until their last conversation on the phone…and as an old woman she probably figured he was trying to con her/take advantage of her based on their “happenstance” meeting which she begins to realize may have been a lie…plus we see him as a lawyer cuz we know him as “saul” for so long but he’s always had that con man/used car salesman stench to him…and she probably figured he is familiar with the law bcuz he’s a slick talking criminal instead of a lawyer
That makes no sense. Why would something long ago randomly pop up when the phone convo had nothing to do with that? Unless I missed something about the dog. :dwillhuh:

idk…maybe you did…but folks on here pointed out at the time how gene was getting a little bit too cocky when he kept embellishing the story…and the reason it’s important to her to recall even tho it happened long ago was it was the basis for their meeting and her sympathizing with him and ultimately befriending him even tho she started off as standoffish…she truly was conned…and she realized that when talking on the phone with him

I’m saying I don’t recall any dog talk during that phone convo. Just Saul giving a bit away about the bail bond thing. I get Saul would show up if she typed in “ABQ” and “law,” but “con man” just seems too out of left field.

Kim living in basic MAGA broad purgatory was :picard:

A full written confession to Howard's wife on some 'this is your closure, but they can't touch me' shyt :damn: :mindblown: :merchant: - it's about to fukk with Saul's whole shyt too, from the look off it. :krs:

Kim and Jesse smoked a square together, right before she left :leon: She defended Combo :ohhh: Emilio got hooked into Saul's fukkery off the commercials :pachaha:

Old girl doing detective work on a 56K modem with Ask Jeeves. :mjlol: Jimmy's dirt is so synonymous with 'Albequerque Con Man' at this point, that a quick search on a dead search engine gave him up. Could have just clocked in to Cinnabon unnoticed for the rest of his days, but pride is a motherfukker :wow:

I’m not saying they talked about the dog on the phone…nor do I think he gave “a bit away”…he talked too damn much on that call…from that conversation it was clear he knew a little too much about the law but she had no real reason to think “lawyer”…we do bcuz we know he was one…her thought process was probably why does he know so much about the law and she retraces everything she “knows” about him which starts off with them meeting due to the missing dog…lonely old ppl get conned a lot…she probably thinks she was the intended target even tho we know he was using her to get to the son…so she’s thinking about the dog story and the little weird shyt she noticed with him and her son and thinks “con man” which he basically is…I don’t see it as far-fetched at all…“lawyer” would’ve been too on the nose…there’s no reason for her to think he’d be a lawyer as opposed to a criminal/con man familiar with the law

You’re thinking too deep about this. :mjlol:

And I’m taking straight up “law,” not “lawyer.” The convo was about the different type of bond payments in each state, so a search like “Albuquerque bail law” comes off better than “abq con man” in that situation. I guess, like you said, she was worried about getting conned, so she searched out that and the city since Saul came off confident. Just feel it coulda been handled differently. :ld:

???

the amazon prime shyt is what I have and the episodes always come on after midnight…are you on the west coast?
Nah I’m on the east coast. I go directly to the series page and watch. Last night they didn’t have it available so I went to episode 11 and fast forwarded to the end and episode 12 started playing automatically. That was around 9:05 Eastern.

Agreed with the comments it was hard seeing Kim like that, struggling to decide between vanilla and strawberry ice cream and hoping the Miracle Whip would be okay in the potato salad :mjcry:. Rhea Seehorn is such a great actor. Hope she gets that Emmy in September.

From Zafiro Anejo and Moscow Mules to this :wow:

I’m really not…it’s a very surface level observation on my part based on obvious clues…but I’m realizing a few of you “critique” without paying attention

lol if she did that the search results would not necessarily be a person

google [whatever city you’re in] bail law vs. [whatever city you’re in] con man

I guess, like you said, she was worried about getting conned…

it can be a huge fear for old ppl…especially one as lonely as her…it probably explains why she’s so standoffish when we first meet her character…random observation but she honestly seemed more hurt by gene lying about the dog/their initial encounter than about her son being in jail

Gene made her suspicious in the previous episode by

1. hastily bailing on her to go to the garage with jeff
2. she saw out the window of gene being aggressive with Buddys dog, making his previous portrayal as a loving dog person come into question.

the phone call and him knowing the ins and outs of law in ABQ and Omaha was the last straw that made her get the computers putin.

I mean, a search of “Albuquerque law” alone should automatically bring up a wanted lawyer from that area. :skip:

And no, I’m not “critiquing.” Just trying to make sense of that moment.
