veep might be the best comedy I've seen in the past 15 years. its a pretty mean spirited show tho. its kinda like Sopranos where the majority of the characters are scumbags, and they hilarious.

season 1 was hit n miss for me but season 2 onwards hits the gas n is laughs for the whole series.

I’ll probably dive into it today…thanks

Assuming there's no continuity error, this would mean that these events are occurring a considerable amount of time after the events in El Camino.

They said it was Taylor Martinez's freshman year, which would be fall 2010. That was also Weedon's best year at Okie State. And the year those Jordans came out. So it all is clearly meant to be happening during football season in 2010.

The last season of Breaking Bad (and thus El Camino) ended in 2010. Walter White apparently died on September 7, his 52nd birthday. So this is all happening immediately after the Walter White death and just about the exact same timeframe as El Camino (depending on how long it took vacuum cleaner guy to get Jesse to Alaska).

plus it'd be out of character for Jimmy to stay on the straight and narrow that long without some type of small scam to keep him entertained. He'd Chuck himself if he went a full year or two just selling cinnamon rolls.

We should add a poll or bet or something

Jimmy surviving this or nah? :jbhmm:
based on that variety vid, bob odenkirk feels there’s no middle ground for the character…I’m gonna go with nah…although getting caught is an option too…ya I’m gonna say he gets caught not die…but I don’t see him just riding shyt out or having a happy ending where him and kim run schemes happily ever after

No one has ended the series in jail. And Jimmy/Saul has always seemed just destined to end up in jail. So I'm gonna bet on that one.

It would be pretty funny if Jimmy pulls one last classic courtroom maneuver to weasel his way out of a long sentence, gets a couple years as a W, and then the series ends with him running a scam on some guards.

Then we get a better call Saul movie. Jimmy gets out, finds Kim, then they retire in Belize and live happily ever after.
