This battle is the perfect one to see how much people weigh bars vs performance. Ill was crazy entertaining, had a good mix of personals and a little bit of clever word shyt... he gave us a lot of timeless shyt in the battle. Second round was a perfectly performed barrage of everything.

Rich was bars bars bars and personals.. a few personals. The third round name flip was absurd. His first is easy to overlook if you're still laughing about the "who is this nikka," but Rich barred Ill's life away in the first.

I got this 2-1 Rich. Classic without a doubt.

Unless you have some out of this world performance(like Mook vs Lux ll), I'm always gonna vote for the battler with better bars. It seems people pay attention to everything except the bars nowadays. I'm sick of "performance".

I don't really feel richs cadence all that much though

just the way his inflection goes up with the same exact tone with every bar, not my thing, but it is his own so

I can't call it, this battle had me watching Rex vs Ill again and he talkin bout donkey dikks and goat asses there too

Yeah I hate Rich cadence but for some reason it didn't bother me like it usually does going back. Maybe since I haven't heard him battle in so long it's not as cringe worthy as it was back when I heard him more often

But yeah I got to give it to Rich. He edged the first (definitely debatable) and he went nuts in the 3rd. Ill's second was the classic round of this battle

If performance doesn't matter then there's no point in you even watching the battles. You might as well listen to the audio or just read a transcript of the lyrics.
