All these battle rappers running they mouth in Spaces are just giving other battlers ammo for angles. Surf has put his foot in his mouth on more than a few occasions, and I can foresee him taking a mean L depending on who his next opponent is.

Personally I don’t consider this ducking. To me it’s more “I don’t have any interest in battling you, and in order for me to do it, you have to go through extreme measures to get the battle”

A duck to me is more like a highly anticipated battle and y’all both agreed to do the battle, and a league is willing to book it but you find an excuse not to do it any time it’s about to happen.

People, on here and all over battle rap, overuse the fukk out of the word “duck”. There are plenty of reasons guys don’t want to battle other guys (usually because they feel it’s a waste of their time or they can’t gain anything by winning the battle), but fans are always going to say it’s a duck. Hell, I’ve heard people on here talk about how Tay Roc has ducked random people, despite the fact he’s battled pretty much every top tier rapper there is.

But the term duck is mostly used by the fans of the guys who battle a lot but aren’t really recognized like that when they challenge battlers who have a higher status than them. The only place where duck is overused more than battle rap is in boxing.
