A duck to me is more like a highly anticipated battle and y’all both agreed to do the battle, and a league is willing to book it but you find an excuse not to do it any time it’s about to happen.

but for that battle, 50k is still unreasonable and that could be seen as a duck because we know a league won’t pay that much for that battle. Jakk know that. Rosenberg was right to keep it at 10k a piece and make it high stakes. they both did good this past year but Jakk is buggin’ with that price.

Still not a duck. It’s making the price unrealistic because you have no interest. That doesn’t make it a duck. I think people use that word too much. Just because battler A wants to battle battler B doesn’t mean battler B has to feel the same way.


Let me give you an example, it’s like if someone asked you to do a job you don’t have any interest in doing, and then you say “I’ll only do this job if you pay me X amount”. It’s one of those. Like if they say no, they can’t afford that price, than great. If they somehow come up with that price, which you know is crazy, you’ll do it. But you’re no pressed about it either way.

But Jakk knows that they won’t get 50k out of that battle is really the bottom line so you can easily misinterpret it as a duck; that’s really what I was getting at. Depending on the card that’s a headliner price still and respectfully that’s not a headliner battle. That’s a very middle of the card battle; you would see this pop off like 2 or 3 battles into a either a big or mid-sized event. Now, I get what you’re saying but I have to somewhat disagree knowing it’s a tactic.
