I completely understand the hesitation.
When I was watching that class, I was thinking the URL would have been better off doing a tournament with existing known talent that have gotten lost in the shuffle. A tournament with nyggas like danja zone, both qp’s. Nyggas that been complaining like Gwitty and Brooklyn Carter. That shyt would have been way better then the shyt we got from UM4. He’ll throw in that nygga Hennyman.
These guys aren’t new, but you can definitely repackage them, as they’ve never made an impact on the url. That caffeine audience wouldn’t know them.
I wasn’t sold on them much right away. I knew who Real Name Brandon was from a while back. I saw him and Marv Won. I’d heard of TruFoe. I remember seeing J2 battle Yoshi on RBE I think in Atlanta. But the thing is, the past UMs had a familiar hype to them. UM4 felt a little forced. Like UM3 had names we pretty much knew that have been in running for a while except a name here and there. UM4 was like ok, who haven’t we heard of? I dunno. I think MVP, Kyd Slade, and TruFoe got something. Sheed is cool but he does something with his voice that I’m not too big on.
Usually after a while URL digs into their old bag and pulls out a B Magic, Young Kannon, Swave Sevah, even Yung Ill type of nikka. They have not done that in a long time
