i was over on reddit and they were going back to some of his old bars

it's like he had some flow changes and cadence switches back then, but now he's generalized his style to be more twork or ave-esque, he just runs through the same setups, bridges, and punches from beginning to end

ionno how to embed reddit but if he just had some moments where he went back to this i'd be happy

yeah Twork had an impact of nyggas styles for the worse.

After re-watching the Drake card I'm thinking that Surf vs Twork battle is inevitable. The matchup is there with some obvious story-lines to build on. Twork battled Suge and Arsonal so the "NJT trying to be the king of Jersey" promo is there. He beat Roc, Eazy and Chess. They both had good clean performances recently so the choking thing is less of a dark cloud over the matchup. Just slap the matchup picture up on socials in a blue and red colorway and let them talk.

yep. If Surf don’t battle Goodz then it’ll possibly be Twork. I’d prefer Goodz since they got more of grudge though.

I rock with Cor but he definitely gotta get it together. If Surf can spin narratives on that man thru media and make fans eat it up then Cor gotta be on his shyt in that battle.

Most overprotective of their brand at this point in time?

Mook
Jaz
Goodz

I think that’s about it. Maybe we can add Brizz the way he’s talking.

I know people will say Lux. He definitely is overprotective, but I do believe he takes calculated risks. The three I mentioned are a little more overprotective imo,

I don’t think Goodz is overprotective at all. Especially considering his skill level I think Goodz has made the most he possibly can off of brand inside and outside of battling. Outside of the Wild N Out guys I’m not sure anyone has leveraged battle rap better.

Do you listen to Goodz and the way he selects battles?

I also should have added Hitman

You mean the reasons he gives for picking the battles he picks? Yeah. Goodz doesn’t put himself in a position to really lose. I’m not disagreeing that he’s protective, I just don’t think he’s over protective.

It has to be Jaz. Prior to Gattas, her last battle was 6-7 years ago. Even with the Gattas battle, it was initially meant to be on one of the earlier QoTR cards in the Caffeine set and you can tell she made the necessary adjustments to her style (I’m trying to be nice) to ensure she was gonna win the crowd.

I’d bet money that the Ms Fit battle never happens unless it’s in a crowded event as well. She’s not gonna take that battle in a Caffeine setting so she can get clearly out rapped without crowd participation.

we definitely will agree to disagree

if you offer Goodz the same amount of prep time and money Lux had for Geechi, Goodz would turn it down. He doesn’t play when it comes to his name & brand.
