For one, he 5-0’d him, not 3-0’d him, which was actually a big part of the issue.

But once again the argument isn’t about Mook having been trash. No one has said he wasn’t trash yet, y’all are arguing nothing. The argument was about how Solomon took it, Mook ran him out of the game.

Not sure if y’all remember, but Solomon didn’t just stop battling like Brizz has, he damn near completely disappeared. You weren’t seeing any tweets or interviews or YouTube’s or anything from him in that time period. Perhaps some of the NY posters may have ran into him at a bagel shop or something.

Even today Mook has never left behind the roots of battling or really adjusted from that corner shyt, which is good and bad. It’s good and bad in the sense that Mook is more concerned with actually winning battles as opposed to just being entertaining (Goodz, Lux, Rex, they all fall in that category). Mook also raps as though the longer you rap gives you the win, because he’s still in that zone that the way you lose is running out of raps.

You really think that angle is what made him disappear for a few years? I think he just realised that his shyt was outdated and he wasn't happy with how his comeback was perceived and fell back to reinvent himself

Weirdly enough, I recall that Iron admitted he wanted to do the 5 rounds. He said it in an interview a few years ago. I want to say it was with Rap Grid and Drect was interviewing him. I surprised that he was semi pushing for it.

I always found it weird that the battlers don’t really work together on music considering how much bigger their profiles have gotten.

I mean guys have in the past but you don’t really see it at the apex of their popularity.

I never said that Mook wasn't trash. I'm on record saying that literally all of Mook's wins since he's back is him being less trash than his opponent, and overall he just had really trash battles.

That's doesn't mean that Mook didn't win his battles, and it doesn't mean that Iron didn't damn near retire from battle rap because of Mook. Iron also performing badly also played a part in his losing to Mook (I'm also on record saying that Mook always gets the worst version of his opponents)

Agreed. It makes no sense. I think it's either 1) The battler doesn't want to help put other people on 2) The thought that "they're not big enough to be on my album"

That's why I was glad to see Surf on Ars' project. And Ace on Twork's.

Crazy that Surf hasn't put Roc on any of his albums. He's been in his music video, but not on a record. And Roc can actually rap to a beat. And I'm not one of them people that think it's a one way relationship, I genuinely think Surf has a lot of love for Roc. But I do feel like it's a case of number 2 that I said.

Nah, if he was just dissatisfied with his performance he wouldn’t have disappeared for THAT long. I think he was destroyed by the whole thing, including the fact that he had hyped himself up so much to beat Mook and ended up being embarrassed. We can talk about how bad Mook’s material was all day but people left saying Mook killed Iron WITH garbage material, which is different than y’all now saying they both had garbage material as though it was Mook vs Reed. Somebody exposing my one nut on THAT level of a platform and throwing skittles in my face in the biggest battle of my career against a guy I wanted to battle and thought I’d give that work to, in the biggest event in history to that point, while my own material is getting booed would probably send me into hiding too.
