I remember watching that battle as soon as it dropped and thinking this lil nikka will never amount to shyt in this culture. Fast forward to now and he’s the hottest break out star in this. Wild.

In battle rap, i've learned to not just get hyped for cards now. Too many battle rappers don't take it serious the way they should, OR they're just not very self aware. Either way, some battles that sound great just...don't pan out for whatever reason, ya know?

That battle makes a lot of sense for Surf. Not sure if it makes the same sense for Goodz, but there's not really that many guys for Goodz to battle either, not in the immediate. Possibly EZ.

They'll probably just go back and forth over how much they don't want to battle Math.

JC is a guy that is accustomed to taking battles with limited prep time. He’s saying y’all are gonna give me 30 days for Surf? Are you sure you want that Surf?

This is a big opportunity for JC if it happens. A lot of people feel like he drops the ball when these opportunities come his way.

Im hoping Surf can remember his bars. It seems like he needs a lot of prep time. Are there any examples of him getting through a battle flawlessly on short notice?

I’m thinking with Surf’s lifestyle, he needs a good 2 months. Obviously he wants this payday.

If only battlers were as self aware as Goodz, who won’t take battles unless he has ample time.
