When it’s all said and done, Spanish Harlem was somewhat right about what’s going on with this card and how P has been handling things. Both Benji and Mackmel said they didn’t know a lot of details and found out it was announced on Clubhouse in public. That’s not a good look.

LOL that shyt had me dead. You can tell Lux don't respect them because them type of nikkas he don't feel are from an authentic cloth/really part of the essence of battle rap. Meaning they nerds in real life that put on battle rap personas and became somebody. Imagine Chilla Jones or DNA battling block to block in Harlem in the early 2000s, it would look ridiculous. They just got a corny nikka aura about them.

To me this feels like when the guy who been on the undercard putting on classic matches on a wrestling show finally gets to take on a maineventer.

He was saying on Black Compass people don’t know him and Chess are mad cool and were talking to each other on the phone talking about battle rap weeks before the battle was locked in. Basically saying people have friendly battles because they want to, but if nikkas are competitive, it won’t matter if you’re cool.

I think the era of real animosity is pretty much over. These nikkas see each other damn near every two weeks now. Everyone goes to the same events, chop it up. I think lack of quality battles has more to do with the battlers being lazy and content with their status more than being cool with one another.. All the new class people are cool with each other and always have fire battles.

Basically. Unless an incident happens with two guys on a personal level, you're not really gonna get any authentic beefs between battlers anymore, because at this point they've either all been around each other forever, or they all came up together.

The only time you're gonna get real animous in battles is when you have natural born irritants in battles; which is what a guy like Surf brings to the table. That's a natural villain. Or a Math, even if it's in a different type of way. These are the type of guys who are gonna make someone pissed at them before the battle regardless if they know each other or not.

Most of the “pen” nyggas that fans call for him to battle suffer from that stigma.

I know he respects the penmanship of the “pen” guys that see him as the endgame, but I never got the sense he enjoys watching those guys battle.

Also, when you hear Lux list battlers he enjoys, like twork & chess, it’s clear he likes a mixture of both performance & lyricism.
