Hopefully Casey is good, but how come every battle rapper "almost dies" or has something happen to a relative days before a battle booked months in advance?

To bro’s point though…it do seem like weird shyt been happening days before battles since early last year. Car accidents (Twork, Hustle), “Family emergencies” (Suge and T-Top), nikkaz magically popping up with grown sons (Daylyt).

Not saying real life doesn’t happen…it’s just convenient that it always seems to happen at the EXACT time of the battle.

Not entirely an accurate comparison though. You do relatively often hear about players losing a friend or family member but they just play anyway. But they’re not having to remember material while grieving, they’re playing a game they’ve been playing their whole lives and most even say playing the game as a distraction helps them in those moments. Add in a playoff game can’t be rescheduled and there is a team depending on you, whereas even if you miss a big battle event the actual battle can always be rescheduled.

History has shown that battlers that want a specific amount of money eventually get it once battle rap has grown to the point to provide it

Msfit won’t battle Jaz, because Beasley has no interest in paying her asking price. That indicates to me that female battle rap isn’t quite there yet. It’s going to take a collective effort from the women to get it there starting with professionalism.
