Question for Math Hoffa fans:

I just watched the last episode of my expert opinion.
And Math claims that 'in battles' he often uses 5 syllable rhyme sequences for up to 12 bars, he blamed Charlie Clips for 4 bar setups (and basically says he doesn't really do them) and he often uses triple entendres in his battles.

Do I need to pay attention more to Math Hoffa battles? Is Math really rapping like that?

Math's pen is underrated. Between the bully image and the backlash, he is discredited unfairly IMO. I always say, if he was a "company man", Smack would have made him the "face" and all that shyt. He has the street feel, credibility and the pen. He probably would have got the mega push Geechi is getting, but he has too many of his own opinions, and refuses to bow down.

They "banned" him for appearances sake, despite Smack himself saying he loves and respects Math, they welcomed him back with open arms after the heat died down. That's my point. They gave him a lot of leeway 90% of people never get. He PUBLICLY said he won't sign a URL contract with exclusivity, then PUBLICLY started pushing for unionization, PUBLICLY started telling people to copyright their bars and ways to get paid away from the leagues. Tells story PUBLICLY about Beasley being mad over a girl or whatever that was. People shyt on him, saying he can't get on URL because he's cold, whatever bullshyt. Boom, a month later, he's on Caffeine battling Geechi. Part of it is because of the success of MEO, but he got mad privileges before that. Him punching Dose was in URL's ad reel for YEARS. Take your feelings/opinions out and look at what I'm saying objectively. They fukk with him heavy for some reason. You don't think they wouldn't have pushed him if he went along with the program?

So you dont think that he tends to looks bad everytime on a stage (unless Cortez is next to him) has anything to do with why Math never got the push/battles you feel he deserved. Ok thats your opinion I guess.

Lux was going to battle Math on his return but Math died against Calicoe and in the process of closing the casket, Cal called out Lux. Thats not URL politics to blame

Math is chasing Surf now. The winner of the Math/Top battle a couple of yrs was always going to battle Surf next. Math went up there not giving a fukk and lost. Thats not URL politics.

Math has never had a quality performance on a URL big stage unless it was a 2v2. Between just bad material or no material at all. That's not URL politics.

If Geechi died against Ave in LA, and choked every round against Surf, and punched Suge in Vegas, he wouldnt be at the level he is today either. URL wouldve found somebody else to push to the forefront. Yes, you need the push but its also about what you do with the opportunity is presented to you.

For years, Math always dropped the ball on stages for various reasons. All the other fukk-ups from that era (Verb/Clips/Surf), you can point to at least one battle where they looked like a god in those same buildings.

Does Math have a pen? Yes.

Should he be booked more if he really wants to battle? Yes.

If Math himself at least part of the reason why he hasnt gotten the looks he feels he deserved over the years? Absolutely

If math battles, I watch it. I’m a fan overall. It doesn’t always go well though. And shaming broke rappers for sticking with URL when they’re jumping out the gym is not “pushing for unionization”, it’s using organizing as an excuse to shyt on a company that wasn’t fukking with him at the moment.

Smack has said and proven many times that he doesn’t care what people say about him. Guy is about the league and money before any feelings. B Dot was in a standoff for a year about doing a PG and then his most memorable bars to date are calling URL a plantation.
