Twork my favorite battler but he talkin out his ass, that's the Hen talkin, he's probably writing for Mook now for the 2 on 2 so he naturally wants to air him, lol. Mook is nice...what Twork is saying may apply to the old Mook, like 10 years ago + Mook, back when all of them wasn't really that otherworldly with the pen like that...but listen to what he was saying against Verb. Against Roc. Nah, Twork drunk, lol.

IMO, Mook didn’t have a clear win to his name until he battled Young Hott

To me, the lyricism displayed by Mook against Verb and Roc was out of this world (he was too overly complex against Verb tho, it was overdone and that's what made some people sleep). I know battle rap puts people in boxes like Punchline dude, Scheme dude, Pen dude, Performer dude, etc... but really what matters is just extreme top shelf lyricism, imo. I think Mook got that all day, I didn't always feel like that at all, I would have agreed with Twork prior to the Verb shyt.

How can someone listen to his shyt against Roc and say he's not an incredible lyricist? Besides the scheming, the actual rhymes is madd layered with wordplay and entendres all thru, he just doesn't emphasize when he's doing it like a JC or Rum or whoever so you can easily not notice and just focus on the scheming because it still makes sense and sounds fire even if you're not catching all the wordplay. One of them interviews after the Roc battle, I can't remember who it was with, he broke down his lyrics in detail...shyt was incredible bro.

I feel you. I think Mook is a good lyricist, and his pen is underrated. The only thing with Mook's scheming is he gets really reachy sometimes to the point it's not enjoyable. Like in the Verb battle he had "more wrong/moron", "empty 3/MP3", "I can haul it/alcoholic" flips and them shyts are ass. He does that quite a bit to make a scheme fit.

Heard you, same here. I aint even a Mook fan like that, lol, I just liked him in his last 2 battles. All the rest of his shyt was some barely mid or some trash to me.
