It finally took someone like Bizarre to say that the industry artist lack the experience to do well. However, he’s always been somewhat close to the battle rap community.

For the most part, true indeed. I do find it weird too considering that Freestyle Fellowship was linked up with some folks on the east coast. Maybe it wasn't known at the time like that but Daddy-O was responsible for FF's deal when they dropped "Innercity Griots". Hell, Myka Nyne was Talib's roommate when he had some six-figure deal and his album never came out. So who knows....

Mikah Nine is one of the most gifted mcees ever but the music never really came together for him. I dislike like 90% of his solo stuff, it's clear that he lives a type of lifestyle I'm unfamiliar with.
One ill memory I have was being able to witness him body someone off the head live at one of the Rocksteady Reunions way back in the 90's. This is before they started doing at the pier. MIkah just started going off this dude for spitting a written rhyme in the cipher, because back then that's what happened when you spit a written after someone goes off the head.
I was a youngin hearing him come up with all this crazy stuff in the moment. He's so good at changing his flow & vocal tone that it just felt like he was scolding dude like a child. Not going to lie it had my heart beating fast.

That day was also my first time seeing Fat Joe in person. Dude had a huge scar across the back of his neck that you can't see in the videos. Dope how he always stayed plugged in to the underground through DITC.

I think 8 Off vs Breez Evahflowin also happened that day. Breez is more well known for battling, but 8-Off was a problem too off the head. You know how DMX has the crackhead energy that would probably be uncomfortable to be around? 8-Off was the same, except a bit more sickly looking. I didn't want any of that stuff flying out of his mouth to land on me.

Breez was nice. I met him and C Rayz Walz in DC when they came down to judge a battle or two and interview some of the guys in the battle. I didn't know it at the time but they interviewed me and I realized how much of an impact in NY they had tho.

I never got to meet 8 Off but my peeps did. Talk about someone who has grinded thru the eras....8 Off got tons of albums. He stays on it. His project with Duke Westlake is fiyah.

I met Mikah twice. Once, he came thru with Ab and Acey for what might have been the last Haiku De'Tat tour. I'm not sure but I know it was one of the few times I'd seen him. In the middle of the radio interview I was sat in with them (Acey wasn't there for some reason), they were freestyling and I jumped in the middle of it, lol. I mean, I grew up listening to all of them down south from the dub tapes and etc. I had. So I figured fukk it....why not? Lol. Don't think they minded but I also know they were like "who the fukk is this?", LMAO. Mikah was out here after that by himself I want to say. Cool dude for real. Didn't quite remember me, hahaha, but he knew I looked familiar. I can't fully agree with you about his solo stuff. I'd say his best stuff to date so far has been the projects he's done with Factor from Canada. He seems to do real well with one producer for a project, imo. Him and an old friend of mine from around the way are supposed to be working on something together. Yeah, you might not be familiar with how he rolls. Then again, I've been into a lot of their shyt and met quite a few of them....like 2Mex (who Don Marino reminds me of), Medusa, and Awol One. When I went out to L.A., I got connected with Open Mike Eagle and kicked it with him....way before he was solo and still did shyt with Thirsty Fish with DFD and Psychosis.

that beat wasn't for him. not saying he needed something in the trap pocket but this wasn't it.
he should've rapped over something like this for real.

It wouldn't have mattered if he rapped on the In Da Club beat, that video alone destroys any chance of there being success.

I didn't even get to the video yet. It was weird and just not even put together well.
I mention the track considering his dis to Loso and his compilation track for RYD.
He shows promise on those two joints at the very least.
