The idea is great. The no VOD shyt, I understand people not liking, but free PPV and the battles drop on the app later on. I don't see how as a fan you can complain about this. Like MJ Truth said, the no VOD shyt is basically the equivalent of missing a PPV and waiting for the drop. I'm sure Smack got a crazy bag to make it worthwhile for them to get rid of PPV. They've been at this for years, they're not stupid

I just wonder what this means for battlers and their prices.

Yea it’s fuxk JC at this point. He takes every little battlerap dollar. He’s a hoe for real.

Yeah and its fukked up because I think So Severe had a battle or two I've seen by him and nikka did the damn thing. But nah, JC can't do like he did with Gjonaj years ago; give up and comers a battle so they can build their name. Plus, he just went back on his word about who he was battlling this year.

Yep. Pretty sure the didn't just go like "ooooh if Drake is involved, let's do it for free". This is Smack, Beasely, Chico, and Norbes we're talking about here. Lol. The numbers for the app and past numbers for the PPVs had to add up to something nice for them to get down with Caffeine. Matter of fact, Beasley said something interesting in an interview the other day...he said basically now that they have the app, the subscription service has allowed them to be able to do more. So monthly, the subscribers roll in with a said amount of members that may go up and down a little. But I am pretty sure they have a solid number they average out at to give them an idea of what get in terms of numbers. Therefore, they can present this before a company like Caffiene and get a deal like this. Its a big win for SMACK URL and will expand battle rap, imo.

It's literally the same thing as twitch. They just host the streams on their platform. Unless they strong armed smack and them in the contract you won't notice their presence outside of a couple shoutouts and maybe a logo somewhere

I fully expect them to run ads inbewteen battles at some point tho, prolly not in the beginning

gave it to twork 2-1 but its one of those it could go either way kinda battles. imo twork went to higher levels than chilla . when twork goes to that level he is tough to beat.
