I feel you, he's really stale to me these days. Can't finish a round of his of late alone 3, his punchess sound elementary next to the likes of Rum, Twork, JC etcWatching this Will/Ave, Ave is not wack by any means, but im finding it very hard to sit through 3 whole rounds from him. I think I’m going to pass on the lockdown card. The fact that you got 3 guys battling the day before hurts the card in my eyes. They are definitely are going to prioritize the BET battles over the Lockdown card. Hell its for 25k.
Even though they are only one round battles, these guys have to prepare a minimum of 2 rounds. I could see them all preparing 3 rounds, just so they can have a round for everyone on the card. For 25k, I’ll kill a nygga forreal. Rex probably would have been nasty in this.

Battle rap will never blow for this reason. Dudes trying to remember 6 rounds or more worth of material and they cant do it resulting in chokes
It's not even just the choking, it's the quality of the material as well. I just think their priority will be the BET hip hop awards, and rightfully so.
Those guys are going to get paid at Lockdown regardless. DNA, Suge, or Geechi can take a loss on Lockdown and it won't really hurt their stock.
If I were in their position, I'm going all out for that 25k. That Lockdown battle, I'll get back to memorizing those rounds after the BET battle.
I'm sure someone will say, "well they can memorize all of the rounds." I would agree if there wasn't a financial incentive to perform at BET, but because there is, it makes way more sense to go all out for that 25k and just do their best to get thru their battle the following day.
I could be overthinking this, but we've all seen too much battle rap to know this could effect the Lockdown card in a negative way. We getting towards the holiday season. I have no problem keeping my money.

I feel like I should be hype for those BET Awards but I'm not. Not even with the possible choking and etc. makes me even worry. I just don't care like about it like that. I guess partially because BET has been so hit or miss with the cyphers, I have low expectations of this being like that. But oh well, I'll wait back on the reports.

As for the Joe Budden Podcast, I may catch up on some episodes and see whats up with this Charlie Clips shyt he said. But ever since he was like no music was coming out this summer and him along with Rory and Mal could have spoken on a lot of projects that dropped but didn't, I stopped listening to them. Felt that was pretty stubborn and close minded to do.
I wouldn't listen to Rory at all if I was Lux. Yeah, Rory rubs elbows with folks in the game and worked his way up. But if some of the heavy hitters in the game appreciate what I do already and quote me, I would laugh at that if I was Lux. Plus, correct me if I am wrong but didn't Mal give his opinion on Slaughterhouse like they almost had to have a boy band formula to their shyt? As much smart and witty as they can be, they can really make some very terrible comments and observations.

You know what, this is low key why the energy of Cassidy is needed in battle rap. If these guys were as dedicated to their preparation as possible we wouldn't always have to feel this way when they take multiple battles.

Everybody and they mother be acting like it takes them no time at all to get 3 rounds ready for a battle, once they sit down and focus. The only people I really heard that says they likehaving alot of time to prep was Goodz

Yeah Goodz and Lux both move smart in terms of when they battle I feel. For prep and opponents that make sense. I like the fact that Goodz out of nowhere will take a one rounder with someone like Rone on KOTD or Gauge on Go-Rilla Warefare to show off what he can do still. I sort of wish Lux would do that but I get it with him...he is always crafting and perfecting for the next time he will give an epic freestyle or a battle.
I feel like part of it is...some of these guys can write 3 rounds with no problem. But its about what kind of material does and doesn't work. The elevation of what is written and performed has been set at so many standards that these battlers are under pressure to do great. Its a good thing for the craft but it can wear you down if you're not doing well amongst the fans and the leagues.
