a lot of that shyt has to do with your opponent and what they did imo. battlers like todd and dna get a lot of W's because no one really gets motivated to battle them like that. I can't look at their win/loss record the same as other battlers who opponents bring their best shyt for

Wins have to matter at some point but this is true.

Im not about to sit here and give DNA more credit than Nitty for their NJT battles just because DNA clearly won.

wins do matter but anyone who follows battle rap knows there are certain guys who no one is excited to battle at all, who's gonna walk around thinking about Eric for 3 months knowing damn well Harry made that matchup happen

I ignore TODD/DNA battle results for the most part

See the only clear one was with A Ward; Top and Shine have been more debatable or close. I think he has more wins than losses but I can understand someone saying Geechi lost to Top. With Shine, I dunno...he was sounding like Twork in that one so I can't give him that win; I tried but I couldn't do it.

You’re right but Geechi ain’t got the craziest material either lol. I feel like someone of Geechi’s rapping ability needs to be winning all of his battles to be COTY because if it’s just basing it off of skills or material he ain’t it.

I agree but i see geechie ending up like surf, being Mr. Debatable cuz everyone rappin they heart out against him but he has the star power to pack a room every time

Going off of material COTY woulda ben going back and forth between Twork and Nitty the past couple years easily and maybe Ace Amin now

Math dont have enough battles yet. plus its like, ok he did great vs hollow but thats one battle, and i fukk with math but damn, coty? like pat stay had 4 battles last year and didnt win it and it was all top competition. now if that math/surf happens this year and math clearly wins (which btw he didnt even clearly beat clips but i do edge math in that battle) then maybe, but im not essentially giving him coty cause of one battle vs hollow.

It's halfway through the year, how many battles is he supposed to have, especially since URL suddenly stopped fukking with him. While on the topic, I'm thinking NYB didn't get called for SI because Hollow is in the main event and pulled some hoe shyt.

He's the chosen one. Nothing against him. I like him as a battler, but clearly, the fix is in. He's getting the treatment NJT would get if he knew how to act and was consistent. If he takes the Math battle, watch how biased that shyt will be, unless Geechi chokes, everyone will probably cry 3-0


COTY - (no order) Math, Geechi, Danny - Not paying for the app, so I haven't seen Geechi/Chess, and haven't seen Danny/Franchise.

Math/Clips is debateable, but I have Math winning. Also, people forget he spanked Heavy Half so he has 3 battles, arguably only losing 0-1 rounds. He's definitely on track. Geechi won with a worse win/loss percentage. Shine was considered a front runner with a similar win/round percentage, but with mostly lesser opponents. People seem to hate Math for whatever reason, but if ANY of the current "it" guys dismantled Hollow like that, they would be surgically attached to their nuts. Hoe ass Champion all but admitted their Anti-Math bias, talking about he needed to be humbled after the Hollow win. They never talk like that about anyone. shyt is bugged out.

You know what, I could see Geechi losing steam later on. I hope he doesn't because I think he is a student of the game that has leveled up but he could tire himself out and not bring it. And I hate to say that too because he really is a true talent brought something to the game from the West that was needed. I can't say he will end up completely like Surf as a Mr. Debatable since Geechi is giving us 3 completely solid rounds for the most part when he battles and doesn't "Jersey" out of his rounds like that. But I could see him not always being at the top of his game if he takes on too many battles. I think even Goodz said it too because people want to see them two people aside from him vs. Pat Stay.

Surf was mr debatable before "wtf happened to surf day" and the choking started

It was mostly opponents bringing A+ material to him every time, it's impossible to bodybag any vet who's going 100% so he got the stigma for never clearly winning + the fatigue you get from having to fight against that level of effort every time

I can see Geechie being in that spot very soon

He needs to develop more "battle ending" haymakers, i think twork/rum are good at doing this. I never feel like someone is completely dead after a geechie line. He may need to condense his "real life" section cuz having an entire round of it can backfire way too easily
