You're really mad at Smack & 'em for trying to capitalise on 20+ years worth of work huh? It was cool when it's free and on Youtube but let them try and eat and it's different. Hope you keep this same energy for Netflix, Amazon, Apple etc

At this point, leagues that are still standing and expanding after years and years of work should be respected in this manner. We often talk black business in here when it comes to battle rap, so supporting is one of the best things you can do. If not, that's fine. But you cannot get mad at them for trying to make a living off what they invested not only money but time and effort.

if the app were $20 monthly and included PPV i wouldnt cop that shyt. i dont have time to spend a full saturday every month watching 8 hours of battle rap content. i'd like to think there's a lotta people in the same position. the app is really just VOD with a slight delay, cool with me for the price. once i can chromecast off iphone it will be nearly perfect as long as content keeps up

Lowkey I had a Piperboy type moment with Stephen A Smith. Not to say I wanted to hit him, but I've always found his on screen personality irksome. He may look Chilla Jones Jefferson in the face, but when I saw him in Whole Foods I noticed dude is about 6'2 & still in decent shape. On TV he comes across like the type of cat that will back down off a shoulder bump & a stare, but you'd at least have to grapple with him a little in real life.
It's probably now or never for a Shine & Rex to do one right? It won't be what it could have been, but it's something. It doesn't make sense for them not to do it.

Your actually very wrong on this. All companies due these type of offers hoping you forget. The free trials and all that but you have to submit your credit card is because they get sooooo many customers that forget and end up paying anyways. Trust me. That type of marketing works wonders.
I rather pay for there pay per view for now. I will eventually pay for the premium app once these battles dry up a little bit. Let’s say battle slows up after August, all these battles will still be on the app right? Enough to last me through until the next big event.
Nah it is imo. I've done it pretty often in the internet subscription era. Some bullshyt that I've stopped using/checking automatically renews on me and I'm out 40-100 dollars for the year. I have no idea if "Consumer Reports" is still reputable but my subscription is still active simply because I keep forgetting to cancel. Now I actually need to use the site, so I'm probably going to forget again when that time rolls around.
