Californ-i-a by way of BK
The tweets are gone :beli: What did they say?
Cal and Verb going back and forth. Basically Verb misinterpreted a tweet by Cal as shade and went at him. Cal said Verb is a bytch and that he’s gay and that he’s been acting like a weirdo ever since he battled Mook.

Man I’m just hoping it’s a HIGH quality website. Shyt bet not be looking like trash. It needs to look good and be user friendly.

Hopefully they went thru and updated the old footage, like making those old battles where they dropped the rounds separately into one battle, but that may be asking too much.

This URL app.....does this mean they gonna start pulling battles off youtube?

Also wonder what this does to the "i get more views than you" angle

Premature to say what the URL is going to do, but I don’t see why they would pull their current battles off YouTube (yet). What’s done is done. They still make money off YouTube.

However, for new battles going forward, you’re going to need to go to their platform to watch them. I imagine the URL will use their YouTube page similar to other YouTube pages like a Netflix, UFC, etc.

It will probably be nothing but trailers, which is what they’ve mainly been dropping lately. They could get pretty creative with their YouTube page, and come up with content besides just battles though.

nah they won't pull battles off youtube. Beasley himself said that the battles themselves will eventually reach youtube, they will just take a while longer (about 3 months). No way would they take battles off youtube, they still get some money and still get promotion.

Imagine taking Lux vs Cal off of youtube :damn:

As for the views angle, still the same I think. they can track views on the app, pretty sure it'll be displayed. The big question here is are battlers gonna ask for a cut of the monetization of their battles on the app :sas1:

They need to bring back the cyphers back. No reason we havent seen a 5 min video of Cave, Jersey, or NWX just straight spittin back and forth over some fire beats

Yeah I saw that Beasley interview. I think once the URL gets comfortable, they’ll stop consistently putting battles on YouTube altogether.

It’ll take some time, but there would really be no incentive to get the app if they are going to eventually drop on YouTube anyway, unless you’re a hardcore fan that needs to have it right now.

It’s all assumptions though. The app hasn’t even been released to the public yet. The success of the app will dictate how they move. As long as it’s done right, I think it’ll do great.

The battlers should want this to do good as well.

This will be such a significant advantage over other leagues.
