There is a thin line between having good sportmanship and a way too friendly battle. I don't mind the tension that builds up to the battle to of course sell it and make it interesting. But when it gets to the point where nikkas wanna fight and battling is almost the last thing on a battle rapper's mind, that's where it gets corny to me. If you're not focusing on outrapping/barring out/outperforming/bodying/etc. your opponent and doing something else other than rap, I am less interested in seeing the battle usually.

Can we get mad at Rum for having two friendly battles when he's usually TOO aggressive? It's a really difficult balance.

He has no credibility with stuff like this. He dissed Smack & Beasley because they aren't babysitting Twork 24-7. Wants to dedicate a channel to checking Twork.
But he won't give anyone a fade no matter how much trash he talks about them...

You're saying this with no context, and not quoting him verbatim. Anyone who cares at all should watch the video to get the whole picture.

I can think of more battles that were ruined by too much aggression than the opposite:

NWX vs Guntitles 1
Twork vs Rum Nitty

It still bothers me to this day how the two battles above were ruined, they were sure fire classics too

Math vs Diz (Though the punch happened at the end)
Steams/Chess vs DNA/Shine

To a degree Lux vs Clips had it's replay value diminished a bit because of the fukkery at start of the battle. On the other hand, what only hitman/Con were too friendly and turned out bad? Danny vs Rum was FIRE, Geechi vs Rum is FIRE too.

I'm curious what faceoffs took place. It appears it happened in Atlanta. My guess is it was just the Millz/Ness faceoff and Jon probably shot some promo material from Hitman & Clips.

They aren't battling each other. I was referring to promo material directed at their opponents. They've already battled man. I've seen your name in here a few times, so surely you aren't that out of touch.

I bet RBE is going to try to book Math/Goodz some time in the future. It has RBE written all over it. These two have had some lowkey sort of tension for years. They have that "we are trying to be cordial, but don't fukk with each other" type of vibe and I'm not the only one that's picked up on it. You then see Goodz recent interview on HHIR talking about Math is fishing for a battle, etc and you know ARP probably put that on his list of battles to make.
