Maybe, but that's not really the proper scenario.
It's more like a dude who made it to the NBA talking shyt about how he's better than the dudes he used to play with on the park growing up. It's not like Cass was really ducking battle rap, he just hit a higher level than the other battle rappers did (the same level they all wanted to reach).
And it's not like the Diz battle was some strategic move, it was just where the money was.
