Math's point of view on the situation is weird. He seems oblivious as to why Jones is bitter about the situation, but yet Math is bitter about the situation that happened in Cali.

It seems like Heavybags has ongoing health issues, doing everything by himself might just be too much right now.
Math is insanely self centered. It really holds him back. How much time does the guy spend arguing why people SHOULD do & see things HIS way?
Guys like Rex & Swave took the time to help build some other people up. Most of the other vets have no problems showing love to newcomers. So at least they get a little goodwill when they are slumping. But Math is all about Math, so all he has to sell himself is the revenue he can generate.
