Yo every time someone posts an opinion that doesn't match yours you accuse them of adopting a general opinion and not thinking for themself. @Ronnie Lott (from what I can see) commented on the IG post or whatever and you flat out told that nikka to eat a dikk.Rex's material was far from ass. Outdated? Yes because battle rap finally moved beyond the point where random "real life" bars were good enough to satisfy the growing fanbase.
To paint Rex as somehow cheating or doing something wrong (as your bolded font suggests) for using mixtape bars is hilarious. As if Clips, Ars, DNA, TODD and other's aren't remixing bars in every battle? You don't want to go there, we can start posting bars.
The T Top battle was debatable (I edged Rex) and he had a good showing vs. Hollahan. But of course because that isn't the current narrative on him he's "straight ass" now. You guys really have to watch these battles and quit running with the current narratives.

I ain't coming at you for thinking Rex isn't ass, and I wasn't talking about those other nikkas who also spit mixtape/recycled bars (none of them as consistently egregious as Rex, imo). I was stating that Rex came with mixtape bars for years straight. I should have added that it seemed especially egregious because he didn't even TRY to work it into a presentation that felt natural. I don't feel like going back, but nigs were finding entire mixtape verses that he spit several years ago. Faded ass URL crowds were picking up on it within 4 bars that he was on some recycled shyt. It wasn't a good look and it went on for a while.
But like I said. I hope history is kind to him because you're right, he didn't run from the new wave and he even turned in some memorable performances.
