Can anyone think of a battle where a punchliner had a mediocre performance?It seems like they are really good or really bad.

Punchliners are like 3 point shooters. When every shot is going in, they are on fire. They can't be stopped.
When their shot is not going in, they have nothing else to turn to. They can't defend, grab rebounds, etc.
Chris Unbias and Jayblac are probably worth subscribing to at least I think so. The battle rap media channels are only good for after an event like you said, but I don't think 15 mofe ever drops anything worth really peeping lol.

I was referring to channels like 15mofe, rapgrid, hiphopisreal, heavybagtv, konartist, etc that rely on interviewing battle rappers. It's tough. The newer battle rappers aren't interesting enough to interview. The vets are past their best & where more interesting to interview a few years back.

Dont think there is a middle way with punchliners. Either their punches hit or miss. A mediocre punchline is bad by definition imo.

Magic vs Clips and Conceited. In both battles, he wasn't completely terrible, but he wasn't that great either
I don't think so either, which is why I brought up the question.
