Verb can't put on a clean performance.

But I fully believe that it can't be done (a full event) more than one every like 12+ months. 2v2 as one offs is ok, but if the matchup ain't right it's just a chore.

Sounds like Gun Titles did something memorable and Quest/Marv made a point tho.

I haven't seen anyone calling for multiple 2V2 cards. But one or two 2V2 battles at an event is ok if it's the right teams. It seems as if Chris want the 2 on 2 battles to go away almost completely.

I think this is a mistake.

I'm sure his appearance on Double Trouble is gonna generate hype (assuming he did as well as they are saying).

He should carefully select his battles.

For someone like Ill, why not just fukk with Smack? It isn't like he was some active battle rapper anyway. I remember even during his periods when he wasn't doing well, Beasley would be on his IG saying we need you back.

Get on the "url vet plan" (2 up & comers). If he does well, he could get to his first summer madness.

Pretty sure "Double Impact" or an all 2v2 URL card is going to be a yearly event now. I was watching an interview with Cortez and he said it's like Survivor Series haha.

I think most people agree though they should be done on a limited basis. I'm not sure how I feel about them. It's definitely bringing a good energy back into battle rap. It also opens more slots for good rappers to get on cards. Marv Won would have never gotten a URL big stage battle for example. Even Yung Ill and Math made their way back.

It also makes it easier for rappers to shine. Clips being a perfect example. He can write 1.5 good rounds all day. Him and John John worked great together. It's having to write 3 full rounds where Clips gets lazy/sloppy.

So while I'm coming around on the 2v2 wave, it also takes away form the true essence of battling IMO. Nothing beats a one on one battle.
