He doesn't punch anywhere near as much as Lux. Damn near every bar from Lux is a punch or metaphor. Wordplay and complex bars aren't even Bdots strengths. He even says that himself. He says himself his pen isn't that crazy
NO.
He punches way more consistently and way more VICIOUS than LUX breh.

And Lux is one of my favorite ever.

You're smoking moonrocks bruh, he doesn't punch more than Lux. Lux knows how to throw different types of punches. The hooks and uppercuts are easy for a layman to catch, but what about the jabs? I haven't heard B. Dot delivering a set of punches like this.

Yeah they say you a good nygga, I fought greater
All labor, boss on paper you a 4th grader
All you do is take a, dope line or a gun bar,
Then you just reference that with a sports player, you short paper
Fat boy, you couldn't get down with me with Rick Ross' trainer
Just cause you got t*ts brah don't mean you be thinking in broad layers
Come on players, it's in the talk. Scratch that, it's in the walk
You gotta look at how the bootleg cut, if you copy that this clips a fraud, picture's off

Here's your opportunity to prove me wrong, let's see some B. Dot bars where he punches this much

When you say this, are you talking about that first 1-2 watch/listen? I'm truly curious because to me, a punch is something that lands clearly and concisely almost immediately (like, a few seconds). If I have to rewind a bar/set of bars to understand the punch, it kind of changes categories to something more than or at least vastly different than a punch. At that point, I just call it bars. Lux is much less of a puncher than BDot, more meticulous and thorough in whatever bar/approach he takes.

Anyone chime on this matter of fact.
If I assume we're talking about punch as in the more general punchline, then Lux punches more than B. Dot and more than most of the battlers that aren't strict punchline rappers. I've never really had issues keeping up with what Lux is saying so I can't necessarily speak to it, but I know a lot of people say they have to rewatch his battles to catch certain things, and I suppose that would take away from the effectiveness of a punch for some, but it's still a punch to me.

If anything I feel like Lux punches in an unorthodox way and it's not as formulaic as others so I guess that trips people up too.

Like I said Lux is one of my favorite ever. So I'm not trying to diss him.

When Lux WANTS TOO he can PUNCH WITH THE BEST OF THEM.

You ignored me saying B.Dot PUNCHES MORE CONSISTENTLY, Something that Lux doesn't always do. Which is why he lost to Mook the second time they Battled.

It ain't much text on B. Dot but

I'm a hiphop head to the core, from blackstar to canibus to immortal technique, even aesop rock... and I keep up with those guys pretty well on the first/second listens (maybe not aesop rock). With all that, I still find Lux just plain out requires more listens/watches than any mainstream dude, and most smaller league dudes.

Salute to you for keeping up without a problem.. Maybe we just a bunch of dumb nikkas in here.

At this point do we have to make a distinction between "punches" and "punchlines"? I understand the traditional set-up of a punchline in comedy, but pre-written battle rap is a different animal, it's more akin to boxing, hence the term "punches". That's my understanding of it, or at least that's what makes the most sense to me. That's why we talk about "punching", not who has the most "punchlines". I understand battle rap fans are initially more responsive to the traditional set-up/punch, but that shouldn't invalidate a more intricate style of writing.

Punches - Attacks on your opponent
Punchlines - A "punch" that concludes a 2/4/8 bar set-up

That's how I see things, never really thought about it but others may have a totally different interpretation.

As a Lux fan I actually agree with you.

When I say punch I mean a laymans punch. they can be more effective and Vicious at times.

B-dot is like Lux that spits knowledge but then says something vicious that you get immediately without having to rewind.

300 murders a year
The only thing that irritates me about this whole discussion

Is that a lot of fans act as if it's only room for 1 kind of lux

But accept a game with 100 million gun line rappers.

Gotta salute the boy b dot tho

He been the most talked about battler in the past 72 hours and hasn't gotten close to touching a smack rbe udubb don't flop or kotd stage.

If yall don't think something ain't special in that don't know what to tell you.
