Problem is (and credit to @wizworld and @Kidd Dibiase for keeping this honest ) that BDot takes a long time to heat up. You can't rock any stage when you can't get to the point in 3 minute rounds. Otherwise, he's on my immediate watch list. Maybe he just stays in small venues.. No problem with me. Not everyone is made for the stage, but that doesn't mean they are bad or subpar battlers.
You've gotta be respected and have the track record going in to do this though. Lux is a good example and a bad example for that one, because Lux actually choked in a round and nobody booed him or even acted irritated even though he was taking minutes trying to recover. The crowd allowed for Lux to heat up because he's a legend, they may not be so willing to do the same for B. Dot.Don't know about that.
Took lux a while to heat up against calicoe and he rocked that shyt.
Took chilla a while to heat up against prep and he rocked that shyt
List goes on
It can be done. It really just depends on what you're saying. With bdots intensity and charisma he had me on the edge of my seat even tho it took him a minute to hear up in the first round
It's like I new the bombs were coming
He doesn't punch anywhere near as much as Lux. Damn near every bar from Lux is a punch or metaphor. Wordplay and complex bars aren't even Bdots strengths. He even says that himself. He says himself his pen isn't that crazyI feel you.
I Think at the end of the day Bars are always gonna win...and as much as people say he's a Lux clone he punches way more than Lux.
I think he would fly well with the Smack audience.
But only time will tell.

On the other hand, it's all about poise too, because even if the crowd wasn't feeling him as he was trying to heat up, as long as he keeps his poise and doesn't get rattled like, say, guys like Prep do when the crowd isn't feeling him, he'll be able to catch the crowd if his shyt hits hard enough.

Interesting. I just consider a punch a line that's a metaphor that's either has a "like" or "more than" or any kinda similie. Lux does that all the time. He does have more drawn out metaphors but he has micro lines within his macro metaphor.
When you say this, are you talking about that first 1-2 watch/listen? I'm truly curious because to me, a punch is something that lands clearly and concisely in a given time. If I have to rewind a bar/set of bars to understand the punch, it kind of changes categories to something more than or at least vastly different than a punch. At that point, I just call it bars. Lux is much less of a puncher than BDot, more meticulous and thorough in whatever bar/approach he takes.
Anyone chime on this matter of fact.
Death to Lyt.
Seriously tho how many fukking times can one battler use defeat bars?Fake ass pen game.
has this been posted?
