I blame y’all man, y’all run with any narrative that’s said convincingly by a slick nig, lol. Or maybe I’m buggin, …imo tho that kid is at best like a 7 out of 10, at his very best. He’s nowhere even near as skilled as Mook or Lux…or madd others that ain’t even on their levels in battle rap. Basic ass bars with just a lot of multis, that shyt was fire in like 2004…that pen light champ . He deserves his respect for spearheading the Midwest’s ascension into the game and all that…but yeah, nah

Verb at one point was elite

Verb never punched that heavy but the way he was super descriptive with his multis and ability to add aggression and angle was top tier. He just fell off and started just rhyming for the sake of rhyming. Now it's a bunch of multis but with almost no direction.

It really feels like Verb doesn’t run his material by anyone. Yeah it’s admirable that you clearly write your rhymes, but you gotta have that shyt screened before presenting that product on stage.

Despite all of Verb’s issues, he can still bring an entertaining product at times, which is why he can still generate attention. He never fell off as bad as someone like Big T. If it were that bad, he wouldn’t be relevant at all in the culture. The hollow one rounder, the Suge battle, etc were entertaining whether you felt he won or loss.

Like if Verb vs JC was announced in 2025, you know Verb is going to lock in for that type of battle.

I thought both Lux and Mook severely and clearly out-rapped Verb, like on a way way higher level clearly, skills wise. I also think over the years, both have learned how to “dumb it down” and compact shhit and focus more on out-battling their opponent now, as opposed to just out-rapping them. Lux out-battled the shhit out of Nitty, pause (Nitty got that 1st imo tho, )
