that's all that needs to be said

they wanna pay people less? open up that youtube account with 5 million subscribers then. That platform aint made a star since...

and even when they got somebody picking up steam, they dog em out and for what?

trez (3rd in COTY rankings) wasnt on summer madness, swamp wasn't on summer madness

where is jerry wess? real sikh?

Champion rookie of the year yunus? anyone?

throw Oun P on a card after he came back on Eazy's shyt tho, that'll grow the brand

coulda at least had kyd slade as a surprise battle or some shyt

think this was the reason ARP always said he had no interest in being the #1 battle league. them #1 battle problems got them running with their shoes tied together
Stop it. ARP only says that publicly because it wasn’t realistic.

No it's not, none of that makes sense. A-listers don't do random movies for D-list bread without consequences. No logical business person will pay higher rate for your time simply because they have a more popular product than the last person you worked for.
You obviously dont know what you talking about. Yes they have done that and continue to do so. There are no “consequences” to be had because the bigger studios use logic. They don’t go “rdj only took 5M to be in this indie/smaller scale movie. That means we only have to pay him 5M to play Iron Man again". They go "Movie star A only took this for this indie movie, but this big block buster we want him in will make more and we have a bigger budget, so we got to pay him more."

Emily Blunt, RDJ, Matt Damon all took major paycuts and only received 4M a piece to be in Oppenheimer

After Murphy's $10 million payday, the next biggest salaries went to the three A-list stars that make up the first tier of supporting actors in Oppenheimer. This talented trio were all paid the same amount for their supporting roles, although the number is not nearly as high as one might expect. According to Variety, Robert Downey Jr., Emily Blunt, and Matt Damon were all paid $4 million each to star in Oppenheimer.

Depending on the project and role, the typical rates for stars of this stature range from $10 million to $20 million.
While $4 million is still a pretty hefty paycheck for most working actors, it's a much lower monetary figure than these Hollywood heavy-hitters would ordinarily be asking for these days. Depending on the project and role, the typical rates for stars of this stature range from $10 million to $20 million. However, per Variety, this collective pay cut was worth it "for the privilege of working with Nolan" on Oppenheimer. Plus, RDJ, Blunt, and Damon will all profit from back-end compensation, which, given Oppenheimer's enormous box office earnings, will likely equate to much more than what they were paid upfront.

The caffeine pay seemed like a lose-lose if they didn’t spread the love and inflate prices they would have been accused of hoarding the money, robbing battlers, etc.

… but now you gotta bring prices down and no one is trying to hear that.

I still think they did the right thing though, by giving battlers more bread when they had it.
Ehh, there's a difference between breaking bread and being reckless. He had guys like Kshine/Eazy and others locked up on long term deals throughout majority of the caffeine era it seems on cheapish deals. Seems like the only bigger battlers that got big pieces of that caffeine money were the vets who knew not to take those long term deals. Some of the battlers ate off the caffeine streaming deals too though.
Paying Freeway/Cassidy 100k a piece was just careless "not my money so fukk it" type of moves.

On the earlier point of Smack complaining, Hitman talked on it. Timestamped to a perfect example of Jerry Wess hypothetically charging iBattle 5k and wanting to charge URL more
- I would charge Smack 20k and KOTD 10k because Smack selling $100 tix at webster hall with 2k ppl. 500 to get on stage, 400 for vip.
- Says smaller leagues are willing to share numbers like previous PPV/tix sales etc.
- The chick brought up the lower tiers like Klutz charging URL more when URL gives them a "look". Hitman countered with if Utz is hot, he deserves more, especially if URL is only app only.
- Hitman brought up ppl been having problems with Smack/URL lowballing battlers long before the caffeine deal. URL was making a shytload of money before the caffeine deal and not really sharing with the battlers and said that's why him and Smack fell out.
- Brought up Shotgun Suge and how URL sorta fukked him over when Suge would do a lot of favors for URL.
-He saw a smaller league like RBE bring in almost a million dollars, but URL going broke? He said either Smack/URL lying or the ppl they pushing not selling like they want you to believe.
- Mentioned how Smack "keeping secrets" is a part of the problem. Said if he showed numbers, there would be less confusion. Said ARP has no problem pulling out numbers and show why Hitman getting paid this (showing ppv numbers) and why another battler doesnt deserve to get paid that much.
- when Mook showed he got paiid 20k, he looked at that and said he wanted his price to go up too "I packed out and headlined the same building he got 20k for, but I only got paid 5k".
- Says if Smack is telling the truth, then he needs to keep it real with nikkas and show them hard numbers showing nikkas they not selling ppvs and stuff like that because battler A or B isnt as big as they think. Says Smack needs to call nikkas names out on who getting paid crazy and not selling ppvs to be commanding the price they asking for.
- He was just in battlerap last year so knows first hand that there is money still in battlerap.
- Uses his bags and bodies as an example. Says his channel only has 90k subs and only like a few vids with quarter million views and getting monthly checks like 6k-8k monthly. He said imagine how much Smack still pulls in off the millions of views.
-Open to battling Hustle if the bag is right.
