They typically get their second half before they get on stageI know the battlers get their first half immediately, when they get the first half is when most of them start writing…but do they get their second half even when they choke and don’t complete the battle? I think they do…and that’s insane. What is the incentive to do good and write 3 full rounds and properly prepare? For what? Even if I don’t I’m getting my full purse. Shhit is kinda stupid. The first “half” should be like a quarter of the purse really…after you complete the battle you get the rest. If you don’t complete it then cool, you got the quarter to write what you wrote, thanks for that…now keep it movin.
That’s crazy…so they technically can just step on stage, say 2 bars and step off…full battle’s pay. Weird businessThey typically get their second half before they get on stage
Probably why there was a period where a bunch of battlers didnt even bother with a 3rd. Surf was guilty of this before he started focusing. Then Clips was freestyling a lot of his 3rds for a while tooThat’s crazy…so they technically can just step on stage, say 2 bars and step off…full battle’s pay. Weird business

I guess the battlers argument for why it's like that is: the league made their money already by having the battler's name on the flier and promoted them being on the card, even if they don't perform well. Since the PPV has already been purchased, tickets have already been bought, even if the battler was to do bad, you haven't lost any money. That’s crazy…so they technically can just step on stage, say 2 bars and step off…full battle’s pay. Yeah, even if a boxer gets knocked out in the first round they still get their entire purse.I guess the battlers argument for why it's like that is: the league made their money already by having the battler's name on the flier and promoted them being on the card, even if they don't perform well. Basically you paying the battler for their likeness and showing up, not for how well I perform.
Probably shyt from the music industry playing a part as well with Beasley coming from the music industry. Artists get their backend before hitting the stage.I guess the battlers argument for why it's like that is: the league made their money already by having the battler's name on the flier and promoted them being on the card, even if they don't perform well.
