It’s sad. I am an avid battle rap fan, but my current interest is almost at zero. Battle rap has really fallen off over the last couple of years. This is the worst the culture has been since 2010 imo.

It hasn't fallen off, every few years that gets said...and things pick back up. Arp seems to be on his way out, which is critical and damn near depressing as a battle rap fan, RBE kept it thriving, but the day URL can't sell out venues anymore is when it's officially over as a culture.

Chris Unbias put nikkas in a blender with that blog, they still spinning
:russ::dead:

Bill has been spinning even since b4 the knot

All of his problems come from instability

He can't say he hasn't had the support. URL raised him as a battler, Beasley took him in at one point. He has a bad falling out with URL and grinds his way back, then ARP gives him his biggest battle ever, Hitman Holla 5 million views. A few years later he won the KOTD 100k tournament, a bunch of Bigg K fans over there but he didn't have an issue with it at the time I guess.

2024 starts and boom he messed up his biz relationships and he's back whining about lord knows what.

How does battle rap pick back up from this point? I'm genuinely curious. There will likely always be small leagues throwing events, but how does this industry expand? If this cycle keeps occurring every few years, it means battle rap is either remaining stagnant or spiraling.

Mike P’s apology to Beasley is disgusting. You can’t call yourself a man after that level of groveling.

There never be a wave like the first wave of URL guys. This goes for QOTR as well. They made it so cool to battle, that everyone wanted to be apart of it.

It’s a serious problem that in order to put together a big event, battle rap still has to rely on Hitman, Mook, & Lux. :dead:

There’s no influx of new talent. It’s during a time like this that you get to see Norbes value. His departure affected the entire culture. I gotta give the fat guy credit. Being the talent scout for the URL impacts ALL of battle rap. The talent is introduced and branded by the URL. This results in other leagues wanting to book that talent.

Look at ARP. I think he’s realized that the whole rotation of Bigg K/Showoff/Rosenberg/Award has ran its course. RBE can’t develop their own talent. They can’t cherry pick any disgruntled URL talent that he can build around. He’s like fukk it

If ARP really wanted to take a shot at smacks throne, he'd get Norbes under the wing and help him to develop talent
