Not really. His best performance is probably still pre Roc (Hitman battle).

But he was on the down slope in terms of popularity and linking with Roc definitely helped with his image and helping him to be more focused.

I think they both helped each other. There was a noticable difference in Roc's pen post-Surf though. He started punching heavier. It was very clear when he battled Rum Nitty. I remember when he said that fish tank bar and it felt like "That's a bar Surf would say".

Appreciate it. I just always remember not liking Surf like that earlier on when I was seeing him on URL, I thought he was ehh. Fast forward to the last 4 or so years…I been watching madd of those Surf battles…that nig is a fn monster to me now, lol. , I might be buggin…or maybe he just stepped his shyt up and evolved with the times and the more intricate writing and the wild energy in the performances and all that.

Yeah I wasn't a big Surf fan early on. He was kinda choppy and not that great outside of a few rounds but he gradually kept getting better. He perfected his style during his run with Roc, but he was already making steady improvement for a while leading up to their connection. So it kinda was just perfect timing more than it was cause and effect.

I sorta wish him and eazy would have just kept it real. They got approached by big celebrities, (Floyd, remy) with opportunities, they saw the lights and money that can come from it, but realized they still had previous situations they agreed to with URL , then they began the bs to get out of the previous situations, know they don't really have a legal standing on their moves, then decided to kill URL in the court of public opinion and get the fans on they side. Many rappers did this in the industry to get out of bad record deals. So they sound like they all over the place because they conjuring up some bs to make a case and get the fans on they side.

If Eazy didnt have a legal standing in the contract. He wouldnt be battling on Chrome. They tried they best to block the battle with Hitman, but couldnt because URL is the one that didnt have a legal standing for their moves.

Eazy said he fulfilled all the battles in his contract, the only thing he owed is time.

Notice how URL handled Eazy and Shine's situations differently. With Shine, Beasly went on camera and said "Shine owe us money or battles. If he want out the contract, pay us what he owes". Notice he never said anything about Eazy owing anything to the URL money or battlewise.
