everything you said can be said for any other action film for the last however many years....they are all cash grabs and show a lot of the action in trailers to get people to come see them...no need to try to make it seem like bvs is an exception....but whatever, you didnt like the film, that's cool....
So bvs is just another run of the mill action yarn? Well then I underestimated and was naive to the fact that they really didn't care if they made a great movie. Just good enough and hype it up enough to make a Billy goat gruff. I honestly thought they were going to deliver something special. That's on me.

lol nice try at the hyperbole talk....anyway, i'm sure they set out to make something great in their minds, and to them it is......whether other people receive it as great or not is all individual....it seems they didnt make the movie you wanted to see, so you dont like it, that's cool....

What at the end of man of steel indicated to you that superman's characterisation was going to be different, like killing zod and causing all that destruction was going to suddenly make him charismatic and bursting with optimism? What kind of idiot writer would do that.In the short convo with Barack Obama he was the same sullen plank of wood he had been the entire movie.

So you and any other dude that complain about superman in BvS but love man of steel are contradicting yourself. If your problem is with how he got handed by batman that's another matter but characterisation wise he was the same only now we had batman, kryptonite and more traditional callbacks to the comics not bullshyt like not being able to breath the first moments on another planet e.t.c

I don't think people that defend Superman in this movie understand any thing about character growth or development. In Man of Steel, Superman was dull, depressing and had a somewhat decent personality However, in BvS he is in fact worse then what he was in Man of Steel. I stated his characterization worked in Man of Steel because it was his origin story, he was becoming Superman. Not sure why this is hard to understand. If you are portraying a character that is going through the blues the natural progression for that character is for him to get out of the blues to grow and develop into something better. Man of Steel portrated Superman in the blues (confused and lost about his origin, not sure on how to be a superhero, confused about what Pa Kent wanted for him) its only logical to believe in BvS he would be out of the blues and more optimistic and hopeful. Especially since that is normally what Superman character is known for. No one is asking for the Chris Reeves portrayal or Brandon Routh. But a Superman with a personality of someone that inspires heroism and hope. If this is so hard to understand just think about this for a second... We know Captain America and Superman basically have the same personality (truth, justice and the american way). However, imagine a Captain America with the same personality Superman had In BvS. Im sure most Marvel Fan boys would be furious at that characterization regardless of the overall theme of the movie..

Also, is anyone else a Wonder Woman fan? Isn't it that she can't take off her bracelets? Even as Diana doesn't she have to keep her bracelets on?

This article might be laying it on thick in parts, but aside from the messiness of the plot and the pseudo depth, this is the core of my issues with the movie. You can attempt to update Superman with the times, but you should NEVER compromise the core of the character.

Lol she can take them off whenever she wants. All her gear has been forged by the Gods tho..

Yes, I know this. But her power is amplified when she isn't wearing them but it makes her hallucinate and go crazy after some time.
As Diana, she was never wearing her bracelets. Just wondering if anyone else knew/had noticed.
