There is some agenda, why is the media trying their hardest to make sure that everyone knows they think the movie is bad , and making all these articles about how it's such a failure and seemingly trying to make the movie fail financially . Even prior to the movies launch they were saying the same things . How come they don't treat say the ninja turtle or transformer movies the same ?

If I recall they did shyt on Transformers and the new Ninja turtles still a few months from dropping so who knows........

I dont think there is an agenda or there is anything to help Marvel behind this as some people in here have been speculating

First 2 thirds was slow while the last part felt rushed: Batman and Superman go at it and then fight Doomsday immediately after.

I was expecting Batman and Superman to have two fights in the movie. One brief introductory fight sooner in the movie and then the one they gave us.

Fans seem to want this to be DC's answer to the MCU (which is a lame thing to attempt anyway) and not let the franchise just be its own thing.

No they don't want it to be it is that. It's a shared cinematic universe told across multiple movies with a team of superheroes at the center and solo movies between them main team up movies. Its not as if DC has to do the shared universe thing. Hell they just had a Batman trilogy that ended open enough to continue with a new Batman but they'd rather take the Batman they freshly created for this shared universe and do that.

I just think going back to what I said earlier today..... DC.... if they are gonna go full speed ahead with this new direction.... they shouldve the the F4 Reboot style marketing and kinda better educated people on this somewhat new approach.

Its no secret that everyone and their mama knows who Batman and Superman is and loves them. But it cant be forgotten the reasons people fell in love with them and how it got to that point. And when people go into this looking for something familiar and get something kinda different you cant really be mad at them for feeling someway if they werent properly prepared or educated.

If this is gonna be the Injustice path then over the last few years they probably shouldve did a better job kinda educating people on this path with hints here and there.

If this is gonna be the New 52, Earth 5, Dimension... blah blah blah DC Universe.... then just be straight up and let people know and have a better understanding of the world to get it and appreciate what is being built and be able to ride with them on this journey they are driving us on.

Out of the curiosity I checked RT to see what percentage its currently at and saw this review:
"Let's face it Christian's Bale Batman was going to be a hard act to follow."

Bale's Batman was trash, what movie did these critics watch?
Afleck and Irons killed their role.

I'm starting to believe this idea of there being an agenda no really in all seriousness, this movie with the exception of Captain America winter soldier is a simply better watch then every Marvel movie to date. And I don't think this was even that good of a movie, it could have been so much, much more but what do you expect with Goyer and Snyder.

Guess the critics and movie going public prefer corny jokes sprinkled throughout their superhero movies.

And even tho I think the first Avengers flick is overrated, I think it slightly edges this out, to.

I think now that I get this is not gonna be the "Golden/Silver Era" DC and or at worst isnt the 1980's-2000s era.... the New 52 era style which effectively started in 2011.... I think I can appreciate it more..... I just dont know much about it cuz I have never read any of those and no really nothing about the directions and history of that era..... like most fans.

But I'm willing to learn it and I think any is.... just guide us there

as easy as blaming it on marvel vs dc or some kinda agenda, I don't think that's the case....and yea, people might like one approach better than another, don't think that's the case either.....the things I think working against the film:

1. expectations & want: majority of people know these 2 characters, they've grown up with them, and people have been running in their heads want they want to see on screen for a long time now...so first time they watch the film, expectations gonna be high....in addition to that, most not gonna be judging what's on screen for what it is, they gonna be judging what they expected/wanted to see on screen...

2. the VS title: when you see VS in the title, you expect to see physical action/fighting between however many parties involved....while the movie does have action and physical fighting, most of the VS is in thinking/philosophies...after seeing it again, I can see how this would really rub people the wrong way....

3. bandwagon/mob effect: when the ball starts rolling a certain way, the majority start following it..in this case, that ball went the negative way...

HIGHLY agree with that.... pretty much what I was saying....

Like I know this gonna rub people the wrong way and not trynna make a Marvel comparison.... but just wanna use an example

Like with Marvel..... they dont have assess to the Xmen or MUTANTS.... but they play a VERY important role in they world.

So how do they go about that, they have been slowly injected and educating people on INHUMANS and mind you that movie aint dropping for about 3-4 years or so.

They kinda indoctrinating you to even forget about MUTANTS and have a stronger awareness and understanding of INHUMANS so by the time that movie drop everyone will have a basic understanding of them and can just go about the story for what it is.


When BvS was first announced.... they should've started the campaign to introduce the world to DC NEW 52 post 2011 DC. I think the animated movies have been doing an EXCELLENT job of that but of course that hasnt really reached the masses. Every interview done, every article posted, every tweet tweeted over the last few years should've just been little nuggets here and there.

You can say whatever you want to say about F4.... but one thing you cant say is that didnt prepare you for what they did. Trust me.... if they wouldve went the BvS route and kept it tighter to the vest... the backlash wouldve even been more worse than what they got.... hell I dont think half the people in that movie cast and staff wouldve ever had a job in Hollywood again.... niccas would be doing C-rated movies in Toronto for the rest of they careers.

That ninja turtles reboot is straight trash too, yet I didn't see any articles about why it shouldn't be made.

I will admit, at first I wasn't a fan of Affleck being bats....but after I saw the first trailer, I couldn't wait to see it. I'm not even a fan boy Stan and I think there IS an agenda

who said the films after JL are origins ?? EVERY character in this DCEU is already established, we might get a few flashbacks but there's no origin story

We don't even know what type of characters we're getting out of this characters but you're saying we don't need no origin story?

Saw it today and fell asleep near the end, I never fall asleep in theaters it was aight I didn't feel invested in the story. Lex was my favorite part of the film.
