Sometimes I think The Dark Knight is the best and worst thing to happen to comic book movies.
All this dark and gritty shyt people keep talking about. That worked because the condensed story Nolan was telling and his realistic approach.
For all the people who saw Man of Steel, it wasn't a damn thing "dark and gritty" it. They might have went overboard with that damn filter but I wouldn't call it dark/gritty. In this cinematic universe you got damn near gods doing DBZ shyt, a dude in a bat suit, an Amazonian princess, then Aquaman and Flash as well.
Like somebody already pointed out, Synder said there would be moments of levity in the film and there is nothing wrong with that.
People expecting the DC movie films to be all that different from the Marvel films are going to be disappointed. At this point the only difference will be the actors and cinematography.
