Doomsday is a terrible villain and is only really appreciated in the sense that he beat Superman. As a villain on his own, he's pretty shytty.
To make him the villain in this movie is kinda stupid but it shows just how inept DC is.
That said, I will be seeing this the weekend it comes out. Twice. Faded.

Sometimes I think The Dark Knight is the best and worst thing to happen to comic book movies.All this dark and gritty shyt people keep talking about. That worked because the condensed story Nolan was telling and his realistic approach.
For all the people who saw Man of Steel, it wasn't a damn thing "dark and gritty" about it. They might have went overboard with that damn filter but I wouldn't call it dark/gritty. In this cinematic universe you got damn near gods doing DBZ shyt, a dude in a bat suit, an Amazonian princess, then Aquaman and Flash as well.
Like somebody already pointed out, Synder said there would be moments of levity in the film and there is nothing wrong with that.
People expecting the DC movie films to be all that different from the Marvel films are going to be disappointed. At this point the only difference will be the actors and cinematography.

look. Also, I'm still unsure of why people are saying Lex is acting like Joker. He was acting differently in front of Bruce and Clark so as to seem like he's no threat. If you look at the scene with Lois his tone is completely different.

i always thought grounding everything was the wrong approach for DC. their characters were always more mythic. the over the top cartoon camp serves them a lot better than it does marvel, who made their name on more grounded everyman characters.

All this whining about Doomsday. Nobody GIVES a fukk about Doomsday. He's fodder. I applaud this team for NOT making a movie about Doomsday because it'd be awful. He is the non-Skrulls from the first Avengers. And that's all he needed to be because he sucks.
DC has the best villains in the world and Doomsday is not one of them.
