i personally always liked superhero films better in animation form, the JL/JLU, Superman TAS and Batman TAS was always cool for drawing certain characters out of the prototypical look

me and my homie always felt superman came off "racially ambigious" on some native american/asian/mixed shyt, tho that could just be the minority in us tryna project things lol ... i always felt that made more sense for an alien from outerspace who is sposed to represent the pinnacle of human morality anyways, i know its a comic and all but why would he end up looking exactly like one human race :mjpls:

same with how they drew lex who many here have thought was black

they drew the animation vague enough for minorities to put or see ourselves in those characters, which is dope because especially back then most superheroes were clearly drawn white ... which i understand, but it makes it more enjoyable for everyone across the board imo :manny:

Nah I feel you. Aliens looking just like whit e people is some of the laziest and pretentious shyt ever.

They could've went with a black Lex. Not mad that they didn't but it would've been a different look. And Lois could've been any nationality they wanted. Again, not mad they didn't do it but it would've been easy to do it
If they went Omari Hardwick as Lex :wow:

Morris Chestnut.:ohhh:

Hoes love Morris Chestnut. :wow:

He's got the gravitas to pull it off. A semi young black man as the head of his own tech firm going to war with this alien from another planet who's got all these gifts and has been accepted and has it easy compared to the life he's had to live especially as a black man in his field and all the crap he had to deal with just to be looked at as legit. It's the lex story just with that added subtext of racial inequality and stereotypes. Lex's whole thing is that he had to earn everything he has and had to fight to amass his power and to keep himself in top shape but superman is just handed shyt; whether it be his powers or the key to the city.

He's a little too meh breh. You need someone with some type of personality and anything I've seen him in, he's bland as hell. Now if you said Idris Elba or Dijimon or Morris Chestnut

I can understand the first two choices. Idris would be a bit too obvious so thats why I said someone else. However, you lost with with Morris. How can Omari be bland, but Morris has the ideal personality? The Best Man was a long time ago...

But then again I guess that says more about the state of black actors in Hollywood. Only so many are getting a shot :francis:

Basically. But I've seen Morris in a few things where he's done his thing and shown he can be angry and even a tad sadistic while also being really charming which is how I see Lex. Idris would be obvious as hell but i was also thinking of people who could stand toe to toe with superman

It's actually MindBlowing that this Version of Lex sounds more interesting than Snyder's when he's had 3 to 4 Years to create the character and here you are, probably just thought of this.
