That's why it felt lame to me. Way to early to take superman out when everybody knows he's back for the first Justice League.

Too the viewing audience of course we know he's not dead because they announced a JL movie and this shyt is called dawn of justice.

for the world they are creating in both films the people are conflicted with a god like hero so i think they need to see him die to appreciate that what he did was for the best of us like the jesus character they painting him to be so when his resurrection is complete they will all worship him

in the animated series version of it/comic version it looks like Doomsday just beats the shyt out of Superman with pure muscle:wow:....I wouldn't have minded them introducing that as something that's possible.

I didn't like the Zod death either, but never saw all of Watchmen:ohhh:
My bad :francis:

Snyder is the worst :snoop:

Superman dying at the hands of Doomsday could've been fukking awesome and impactful....instead it was a generic comic battle with a big, no-name monster. Nevermind that he'd already died, on screen, about 20 minutes earlier. And Superman sacrificing himself at the hands of an unbeatable enemy would be believable if we got to see that enemy actually wreck shyt....like Zod did. They had the mass casualties/destruction in the wrong damn movie.

The more I think about BvS and what the DCU could've been, the more disappointed I get.
Cram the death of superman in not even his second movie bruhs.

Breh, ignorance is bliss, cuz I didn't care how they handled Doomsday until I just recently saw how it was really handled:wow:...Is he a no name character?because at least in this thread I don't think I've seen as many complaints about how they handled him?and I've seen a lot of petty azz complaints in this thread.....Out of all those complaints I would think that very valid one would be the biggest one in this thread....Knowing what I know now,how can you be mad about how Lex was handled in comparison, the mishandling aint even close:mindblown:?

They lucky Doomsday apparently has no fans:mjlol:....The fight like you said didn't even seem epic enough for it to come to that point where Superman had to sacrifice everything....Wonderwoman didn't look like she even broke a sweat yet,and matter of fact before Superman flew head first into Doomsday with that spear and killed himself,he could've slowed down to check out the situation, cuz that lasso looked like it was doing the trick:ohhh:

I give them credit for being ambitious and doing a pretty good job for having to cram about 3 movies into one....I'm not sure how much credit they deserve for that, but maybe they didn't have a choice in the matter....you cant act like this is Spiderman 3 status:comeon:

I would've loved to see Superman get beat to death by Doomsday,or at least near death,if you need to make Superman seem less invincible for the purpose of "stakes"....That would've been a good way of doing it,but like you said,i guess they pretty much did that 20 minutes earlier so it wouldn't have meant much....I think it would've been better to see somebody do it without kryptonite though....and how did they know Doomsday was kryptonian?did I miss that part?

And I hope all these people crying about the destruction in MOS aint what made them cut down on that in this movie:snoop:...Bring back the destruction

God damn this thread is long, the official movie threads shouldn't be the "rumors, news, filming" threads that get made 1-2 yrs in advance

Anyway, movie was a B-...i absolutely cannot get behind their makeshift Heath Ledger's Joker wanna be Lex Luthor. Lex ain't never been a psychotic autistic idiot, shyt ruined the movie. :camby:

Nah, im not, it's just the corny culture of "let me be the first to make the thread" that permeates here. I think the season 6 GOT thread was made the same night season 5 wrapped up. :stopitslime:
Word..yea some dude was making walking dead threads with some dumb ass titles before the seasons has even ended.

He hasn't written a good death scene yet,so he shouldn't sound so cocky:mjlol:

Unless he thought Clarks pops getting killed by that tornado was some goat shyt:laff:

I thought the Superman death was good, but then I was on youtube and saw that Superman actually died in the comics fighting Doomsday and it looked way more climactic how it really happened:banderas:...But I'm still going to say they pulled it off pretty good in the movie being they had to cram so much into it....The only downside is I didn't really care about Superman dying, because this movie didn't do much to make you care.....I already covered not being impressed by Henry Cavils acting or the direction he's being given....But if they gave him more time I think I could've managed to give a little bit of a damn....Zack Snyder should realize death is only a consequence if people care about the character:manny:

Interesting to see him say he had to think of a way to get Superman "out of the way" for Batman though:dahell:...Have any Superman fans complained about that shyt:pachaha:....His whole take on Superman seems like he doesn't give a shyt about Superman, and this movie definitely felt that way.

that one part of the movie I liked, they did explain that, when Supes got hit with the nuclear missle, he was looking like a zombie/mummy and then he came back/woke up. That is ultimately how the Doomsday storyline plays out in the comic books, some wounds take longer to heal in than others. The heart never stopped beating, it just slowed down, until there were weeks between beats (they did something similar in Captain America The First Avenger, but whatever). And remember in the movie when they kept cysing that sonic boom every time Superman took off and at the end of the movie the dust is rising off of Superman's grave like another sonic boom was going to happen.

So its all explained, it was the only thing they explained. so I like that and the heavy oedipus complex they used the entire movie like the Third Sin City movie no one wanted. Amy Adams as the older mature girlfriend, Diane Lane looking Diane Keaton at this point (lady beware and unfaithful long in the rear view mirror) but whatever

So some of my other thoguhts:

- cgi looked like i was watching a video game
- who was the giant demon monster? Was he made up for the movie or is he from the comics?
- Amy Adams is too old and lacks the charisma needed to make Lois not annoying, terrible choice
- Wonder Woman...not digging their choice, she's weird looking (which I guess works since Wonder Woman is some Amazonian) and too skinny...I'd love my wonder woman to be built like serena williams, but Hollywood ain't going for that so oh well
- affleck was good as batman
- they need to give some dimension to superman, two movies in and outside of his action scenes, there's nothing interesting about him, he's not even selling his conflicted nature well
- the forced intro of JL :beli:, let's be real, most people don't know those other characters, but maybe launching their solos after JL will be successful
- i too take issue with batman shooting people and branding them - did I miss why he was branding them?
- i also didn't put together supes hate/mistrust of batman, they made batman's mistrust of supes clear, but not the other way around
- I have to say it again, Jessie Ledger and his Lex Joker was so fukking horrendous, that alone drops the movie a full grade
