I'm hearing dudes say this is a disappointment just because of the result of the battle
With all the work Batman was putting in + the understood standard that Batman doesn't lose with prep time, I don't understand what y'all was expecting
Nah breh,it was a tough night if you a Superman fan
Batman gave em the speech you give to villians when you take they gun away, called em a p*ssy who was just blessed with powers
...I kept waiting for that Rocky moment, thinkin that as a MAN,superman was gone show some heart and really put up a admirable effort we could cheer for,at least for his mamas sake....But nope, got smug once he thought he got his powers back, then got that azz beat again as Batman finally put his foot on his throat Beanie Sigel style
....His woman had to come beg for his life to be spared, then Superman allows Batman to save his moms life as if he realized he is the better man to do it,after that humbling.
All that aside first half of the movie was pretty wack all around to me,the second half kindve made up for it once you realize some of the shyt you thought was unnecessary was all apart of Lex's scheme to get Batman and Superman to fight,so the first half sucked a little less after knowing that....probably wont be as bad on a second watch.
My main complaint about the movie is the same as it was about MOS sadly....Henry Caville really stinks up the place as Superman yall, and some of yall continue to be in denial about this
....I'm sure he's a nice guy,and it might be the first time ever, but they seriously should reconsider a recast....IF his acting chops are the problem, now if emotionless, boring, uncaring, uninterested is the way they want him to be portrayed then that's the studios fault, and I give him a thumbs up for playing the role perfectly as asked
.
He is the number one problem, and will continue to be the number one problem....Superman as depressing and miserable as Batman is now?i feel like Batman and Superman should kindve be ying and yang from portrayls I've always seen, but they seem like basically the same person in this version....But Batman is likeable because that's supposed to be Batman, this version of Superman is absolutely unlikeable to me....and fukk that "This aint the 1960's no more" shyt yall about to say....I'm not asking for campy, but he's just not likeable nor does he even feel like a "good guy" to me if that makes sense. We supposed to just think he's good because they show him saving shyt?
You can even feel like a a$$hole is good at heart if the acting portrayl is good....Its hard to feel much of anything watching this Henry Caville dude....I get no true feeling that he loves anything, not even his mother or Lois,so you don't really root for ,or care if he rescues them either
If one of you coli people with connections is watching,we wish Henry Caville the best in his career, but now that he's been killed now is the perfect time for him to come back as somebody else a movie or two from no
