Shuma-Gorath? Alien god from another dimension....basically the Marvel version of a Lovecraft Great Old One.

Ebony Maw has powers of mind control in the comics. It's his main power.

Fred.
Are you sure?

they describe it as him just being a genius level manipulator. not really mind powers. i don't think it's the same thing as Kilgrave but maybe it is.

Ebony Maw has genius-level intellect. He mostly demonstrates his intelligence with his highly skilled abilities of manipulation being described as a "black tongue that spreads mischief and evil wherever he goes." Ebony Maw’s skills at manipulation are a result of his superhumanly persuasive voice which allows him to control even the strongest minds such as Doctor Strange.

"Superhumanly persuasive voice" means it's a super power, breh. It's why his name is Ebony Maw.

I guess i just interpreted it as a uncanny ability to say the right thing, rather than straight up mind control or psychic ability.

Well nah....superhuman means "above human abilities". It's a super power.

With my girl, we been through the whole MCU except:

All Thor’s (I’ve personally seen before)
GotG
Antman (I’ve personally seen before)

Watching this again today is a lot better with me going over the older films and watching Soiderman and Captain Marvell. First time I watched it I wasn’t impressed. But jeez it was a great film

So we’re both super hyped and will get through Thor and Antman before End Game.

It’s cool your girl is watching with you, my wife thinks I’m a little phaggit when I get into my Marvel bag. I forced her to watch IW with me and she didn’t give a fukk, which is fukking wack because she loves those XMen movies, shyt doesn’t even make sense.

FX had their Winter soldier movie presentation with the extras, I recorded it and me and my fiancé and her little sister were digging it. Still up there as my favorite.

Rewatching this again for the 6th time on BD, just read an article on the breakdown of how Thanos used all the stones. He gotta be the GOAT villain. Hard to say which stone wrecked the most havoc, that Reality one is a muthafukka, when he combine the power of them its damn near a wrap.

It’s debatable, but I was watching a YouTube thing the other day that the guy said that because Thanos is a decedent of the Eternals (not direct, I think 1 removed) that he could of, and might have kicked Hulk’s ass without the use of the stone he had, because he still hadn’t figured out how to use it/them. Think about it, he caused the decimation within minutes of gaining the mind stone. I would like to see in endgame
i know that a lot of folks are saying that thanos, after the snap, is practically “retired”, but it would be cool to see what he can do after he actually learns how to use al, the stones and just went around doing sick shyt, and it would make him getting defeated even more impressive. I think that the special fx they could do would be like nothing we had ever seen on film 3 fukkING HOURS!!!
to be fair, a lot of people say that the hulk is the strongest being in the universe, but Thor handled his ass in Ragnorak, so I disagree. I haven’t read comics hardbody in 20+ years (I just bought a monthly marvel pass, so I am going back and reading some classic servers all over again), but from what I remember, Galactus, Lady Death, Thanos, a few others were unfukkwithable.
Sorry for the novel, I’m just really fukking hype for Endgame

Hulk gets that title because his Strength is literally limitless because it's tied to his anger. So theoretically coupled with the Deadpool like healing factor, he can always become stronger than whoever he's fighting.

Here's the loophole into reality: His base strength is lower than a Thor or Thanos for example. So if you are able to put him down BEFORE the rage boost, you win.

As you can imagine, that's pretty damn hard to do but it's happened in most of the cases where he's taken a loss.

That also makes sense, the only thing that I have for that to dispute it is, I personally separate the movie mcu from the comics because it’s so far removed from canon to the comics.

Yep, he definitely didn't have it long before wiping out half the population. I think Marvel changed the colors on the mind stone through the movies, the 1st Avengers Loki had the Tessaract (blue) in the staff and was able to control Hawk-Eye and Dr. Selvig by just touching there forehead or chest. However in AOU it became yellow embedded into Vision.

Nah it’s 2 different stones. The tesseract is the space stone and Loki’s staff was the mind stone.

Looking back (just watched avengers 1 last night) Loki had 2 of the stones and he was on the same planet as a 3rd. He could’ve done some serious damage if he knew what he was doing
