The Official "Avengers: Infinity War" Thread (SPOILERS)

You definitely not alone. I feel like it’s become one of those cool to hate on the internet movies. Dope villain, hammer was on point, introduced widow and war machine, and the Monaco scene is one of the best in the MCU. Also touched on Tony’s alcoholism from the comics, actually made pepper an important part of the universe, made coulson a loved character, set up Thor, and let everyone know avengers was coming.

Good movie. Lotta times people just hate cuz they see other people hating.

I just rewatched IM2 last night for my personal Road to Infinity War marathon. The Monaco scene was actually better than I remembered it. One of the common gripes about this movie is that people feel that it's one big commercial for The Avengers movie, but there's only scenes (the one's w/ Nick Fury) that have anything to do with the Avengers, that those take up only about 9-12 minutes of the film's runtime. People may point to Black Widow introduction as part of the "one big commercial for The Avengers movie" thing but they forget/or don'e realize that when IM2 dropped Black Widow was not supposed to be apart of the Avengers. The Wasp was originally goonna be the solo female Avenger, but the suits told Whedon to replace Wasp w/ Black Widow since BW was well received by people who watched IM2.

They also did a real good job with the sound effects on IM2. Loved the sound of Rhodey's machine guns going off.

Fighting for all is all lives matter, and they made sure to bring that danger to Wakanda.

Also a bunch of Wakadans will unfortunately bite the dust, then a finger snap that will kill alot of offscreen characters at the end, including Hawkeyes family from Age of Ultron, but we won't find that out until the second movie.
