Let's be reality brehs, IW is one of the GOAT comic book movies.

Fixed.

In the MCU I still rank Winter Soldier above it. It does edge out BP for me, only because the final fights in BP were lacking a bit.

The three of those are among the best comic book movies ever though, up there with the Supermans/Dark Knights for me.

I think IW is unique in cinematic history, considering the set-up/build-up/payoff. The only flick that comes close is something like Revenge of the Sith or Force Awakens, which were movies people had been waiting to see since George Lucas turned Star Wars into 'Episode IV'. Even that was a 5/6 movie build-up over the span of 25/35 years.

Marvel started and kept getting better and better, phase 1 was mostly :ehh:/:yeshrug:to me, phase 2 :obama:, phase 3 :whoo:.

I like that energy:lolbron:

Like with the whole “well BP gets slightly demoted due to the final fight between hero and villain lacking”

So keeping that same energy y’all know what that means right?:mjlit:

Movie where there is no final fight between a hero and a true villain should be more HEAVILY criticized and demoted in the GOAT conversation:sas2:

I just named BP with the best comic book movies ever, so dunno what you talking about.
Don’t sleep on Logan

Logan was dope, but I thought it was a bit overrated to be honest - the main villain was ass, which is a no-no for comic book movies :yeshrug:

Logan was a western dressed up as a comic book film. That being considered, the film wasn’t about any particular antagonist driving against him. It having a standout villain might’ve taken away from him and his efforts to protect the people he cared about.

And a damn good one too. Probably still my favorite comic book film since TDK...I've only watched Infinty War once but Logan gets a lot of burn.

I love westerns, my favorite ones have dope villains. I don't see how an iller villain would've done any of that. Don't get me wrong I loved the film, but not as much as others.

If it would've had Sabretooth :banderas:

I think you’d have had to rewrite a lot of the film if he was in it though. I trust that mangold would have done it right, but that changes so much of the film, not to mention a lot of people would’ve wanted schreiber back in the role.

Can’t speak for everyone. No one was polled:mjlol:

But it’s not that seriously and subconscious y’all do.:lolbron:

Y’all know what so called GOAT MOVIE was made where in the end the hero didn’t or barely even fought the villain in the end.

But we can digress, I promise you I’m done:mjlit:

I think I only watched Logan one time.

I think it was dope, I don’t hold it as high as so many others but I don’t shyt on either.

It was just one of them films I thought was dope at the time and once I turned the page I was done with it.

Like the Magic wasn’t there for me anymore.

Like some films, even if I don’t watch the whole movie again, there are atleast scenes I would go back and watch.... examples;

The Airport scene Cap3
Buck vs Cap on the bridge Cap 2
The casino scene in BP
The beginning scene of Guardians 2
The chase and Joker escape TDK
Hulk vs Thor in Thor 3
The final shootout in hotel Punisher WZ
All the Ghostrider scenes in GR 1-2
The fight in Smallville MOS
Hulk vs that super serum dude & army in Hulk
The training on Or Green Lantern
Batman vs Bane in the sewers in TDKR
Johnny Storm vs Silver Surfer F4 2
Blade fighting in all the Blade movies
X-men vs Magneto in DOFP
Batman vs Lex goods to save Martha in BvS

And so on and so on to name a few. And I have have many more from other movies as well as some of these same movies I referenced.

To me, there isn’t one scene in Logan that feel compelled to want to rewatch like that in that level.

At best I would have to watch the entire movie again overall to really enjoy and as of recent I just haven’t had the desire or time to do so.

We all have our preferences. But Logan's opening scene, the chase and fight at their hideout, the casino/seizure scene, the farm scene and then the end battle in the forest are all beautifully brutal..maybe too brutal for you but that type of action and violence is right up my alley and was something i was finally waiting for a comic book flick to do. while most marvel films are kiddie fights and lackluster cgi. That's me tho.

I don't think you have to do re-writes. Maybe a couple of flashbacks to re-establish their relationshionship while Sabertooth chases Logan and them down, otherwise they're good to go:manny:

I said this in the OG film thread, but the moment where Sabretooth took the hood down off the parka when he first faced Logan and recreated/referenced his

look from the books, I would have instantly forgiven them for Wolverine: Origins. :wow:

As much as I liked it, I'd be lying if I didn't say Sabertooth - done right - would have been the perfect antagonist for the final 'Wolverine' flick

Too brutal:mjlol:

I would take that shot and eat that L if it wasn’t for the fact that watch and like brutal shyt like stuff in the Tarantino films or them Japanese/Koren movies like I Saw The Devil, Old Boy, Tonight They Come, The Raid...... and countless others that you probably give a fukk if I sat here and named

Again I listed PUNISHER WAR ZONE which is still probably the most BRUTAL and VIOLENT of any comic book movie.... Logan included.

I also listed DC movies too aka BvS, GL, TDK, TDKR

Like again.... I’m not hating on it..... and it’s not about it being “too brutal for my taste”

It was just decent but I’ve seen (and enjoyed) better.
