Since he lives free in the minds of Jewish Rabbis, Black Hebrew Israelites, Muslims, JW, and other psuedo Christian sects active today, why not make a thread dedicated to the most polarizing figure in the religious debates NOT named Muhammad (because we can’t really talk too much about Muhammad) :youngsabo:

Thread inspired by @2 Up 2 Down :salute:

Have at it :blessed:

They say Paul was the one of “create Christianity” but I bet you didn’t know he influenced the QURAN? :leon:

Does this legitimize Paul’s epistles and prove him to be a “true follower of Jesus” in Islam?:lolbron:

@2 Up 2 Down where you at, Breh? I thought you wanted to talk Paul. :jbhmm:

:yeshrug:I don't know much about Islam.

Well you should look into the religion, it’s perfectly suited for you.

They (Muslims) share your beliefs on Paul and seem to operate under the same spirit, religious principles and objectives: to discredit the gospel of Jesus.

Why not put all that passion for Paul hatred to good use and do dawah :banderas:

you don’t need to “hate” someone to be an enemy to them or against their cause. :yeshrug:

For example, I don’t “hate” the Muhammad of Islam :youngsabo:

Hate, animosity, destain, contempt…..jealousy :leon: or whatever your issue with Paul is you can call it what you want. But it’s of the Same spirit. :lolbron:

I don't have animosity towards him. I just look at what he did through a historical lens.

But do you LIKE what he did? :manny:

If you were indifferent you wouldn’t bring him into the conversation randomly so much

Why are you interested in a figure that has no impact on your life or what you believe? :jbhmm:

Paul is the second most important person in Christianity next to Jesus. That's fascinating.
I'm not religious so I like at it all from a historical aspect.

Ok fair enough. But I think your understanding of Christianity is a subjective one and doesn’t define it.

Your Christianity isn’t “my Christianity”. And I’m actually a follower of Jesus so naturally I’d know better than you (although you haven’t made it clear what you believe :patrice:).

Belief in Paul isn’t what defines someone as a “Christian” neither is it a condition to get “eternal life”

Why is Paul so important to Christianity in your eyes?

I’d say Muhammad is the second most important person in Christianity currently. If you study him and Islam it opens the door to a deeper understanding of the Bible and early Christian history

And considering how Islam is the “fastest growing religion” in the world today, why aren’t you studying the historical Muhammad and Arabia?

Muhammad is more influential and relevant in todays current religious landscape than Paul.

Or do you have special interest in Christianity alone because you USED TO BE one?
