I agree. Can't see mayweather moving up and can't see Ward moving down. Even in the post fight interview, it sounded like Ward might go up to light heavyweight.

If Mayweather would go up to 160 there's no doubt in my mind that Ward would move down in weight for that payday though. I just can't imagine that happening, and they'd both put themselves at unneccessary disadvantages for a victory that wouldn't help either that much.

And I think Mayweather would make more money if he were to fight Cotto again (or obviously to fight Pac ) anyway.

Mayweather v pac needs to happen just so everyone can see it and stfu. Both are pretty much past their primes. Although he isn't the flashiest and doesn't talk much shyt Andre Ward is the future real talk.

when a fighter loses in boxing its the necessary evil of a brutal sport, but when he loses unjustly and unfairly its tragic. chad should fire whoever gave him the greenlight to do this. from the third round, he was physically gone. the stoppage, was not a stoppage, but a retirement, of an exhausted and discouraged man. i know everybody thought it was a good fight and everything but to me it was just sad to chad in that kind of state.

How is it unjust and unfair. Chad called out a smaller man instead of the man thatbeat him just a few fights before. Ward wasn't chasing Dawson to get this fight but he accepted and handled his business. We'll never know for sure, but I don't see Ward losing even at 175. Ward's style is tailormade to beat a fighter like Chad. He's easily frustrated in the ring and hesitates on letting his hands go, even when it's clearly neccessary to win a rd/match. Dude is just afraid to take risk, and Ward's crowding, bullying style isn't ideal for him to face at all.

except that chad has very good defense so to see him getting knocked down many times and then knocked out goes against any kind of common sense. he wasnt even able to get out of the way of anything or see anything coming at him, you didnt see that and think it was strange tho

thats intresting you picked mayweather/corralles as an analogy because corrales was forced to take that fight by floyd despite his body not being able to naturally make weight for that division anymore

When the last time you seen Ward drop anyone, let alone a guy who fought bangers at lhw. Ward destoyed Chad though, im glad too, now people could stop acting like Dawson is the future. Hopefully he gets the winner of the big match next month

Dawson actually quit and asked the ref to stop the fight. If Ward was pillow fisted he would've stayed in the fight to win it.
