WFN and Iron Addicts Gym Owner Richard Rodriguez Says He Sold Anabolic Steroids to WWE Champion Roman Reigns
Richard Rodriguez, a federal prison inmate who was once the owner of Wellness Fitness and
Nutrition and Iron Addicts Gym in Miami, claimed that he sold
anabolic steroids to the current World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) Intercontinental Champion Roman Reigns.
Rodriguez was
arrested as the leader of a nine-person
steroid trafficking organization in February 2017. Rodriguez pretended that WFN a a legitimate health clinic with an FDA-registered laboratory. In reality, the DEA claims WFN was nothing more than a fancy-looking front for just another underground steroid laboratory (UGL)
Now that Rodriguez is behind bars at the Brooklyn Detention Center, he is doing his best to make the headlines by revealing the names of some of the most famous clients to have purchased
steroids from his bogus health clinic, Wellness Fitness and Nutirtion (WFN). When filmmaker Johnny Bravo called him up, Rodriguez couldn’t wait to spill the beans on camera.
Rodriguez bragged that Roman Reigns was a regular WFN customer who personally called him up to order performance-enhancing drugs (PEDs). Rodriguez seemed fully prepared to go down his client roster and give up even more names if it would keep his name relevant. In addition to Reigns, Rodriguez claimed that Hollywood stars Mark Wahlberg and Josh Duhamel were also steroid-buying customers.
Rodriguez’s blatant disregard for the privacy and confidentiality of his former clients may make him popular among journalists chasing the next big sensationalistic doping story. On the other hand, it is certainly a great way to be ostracized by top athletes as well as the Hollywood crowd.
Top bodybuilders may be eager to relinquish their privacy as WFN in exchange for some free steroids because no one really cares that they are using steroids. It doesn’t impact their income one way or another. And there was no shortage of IFBB pros and bodybuilding celebrities will to shill WFN products as “sponsored athletes”, “brand ambassadors”, “media partners” or endorsers of WFN’s business. The list included 8-time Mr. Olympia champion Ronnie Coleman, Arnold Classic champions Kevin Levrone and Flex Wheeler and many more.
It is a different story for professional athletes, pro wrestlers and Hollywood stars. Their star earning power improves when their steroid involvement is kept secret. Privacy and confidentiality are of prime importance.
Roman Reigns has already served a
30-day suspension as the penalty for a first-time violation of the WWE Talent Wellness Program in 2016. If Reigns is linked to another steroid scandal, he could face a 60-day suspension as a second violation.
