Unscheduled three weeks..They wouldn't do this for a small reason. Oda sleeping three hours a day his whole adult life. Getting diabetes and gout from overwork..

He need to just take a couple months off and relax. One Piece fans aren't going anywhere..

Oh boy. As much as I want to see the end of One Piece, I also want Oda to be alive to see it and be able to enjoy the fruits of his labor.

I hope that they can find a way to ease his workload so that can happen.

He probably should let some other people draw more than just the backgrounds. I think they should be able to replicate his art somewhat.

SIU seems to have taken a step back with drawing and the art looks different but it still works.

He should probably do that. Do you think he will though? I wonder if his sense of pride as a mangaka (ego or whatever else, not that I know him like that) would get in the way of allowing assistants to help him, even if it was for the best?

Unfortunately, he probably won't. He hasn't stopped chain smoking and sleeping three hours a night. I doubt he gives up art responsibilities. I hope he doesn't overwork himself to where he will end up seriously ill or having to take a really long break. I would rather the art look different than the content being done by someone else. The last chapter of Berserk looked damn near identical, but you can tell the fall off in dialogue.
