"King Harold" being the viking king that Loki killed could have some historical tie-in. King Harald Finehair is known as the Last Viking King, after he died invading England. He was killed in battle with the last Anglo-Saxon king Harold Godwinson, who then got killed in battle with William the Conqueror, aka a descendant of Vikings.
So for scorekeeping. Harald was the last viking king, he was killed by Harold the last anglo-saxon king, and the ruler to follow merged English nobility with Viking lineage.

Loki and Luffy are too damned similar. He's kinda goofy, animals love him, and he speaks on freedom. I'd expect him to turn out to be a good guy, but the fact that Shanks went to see him and left him chained kinda kills that idea for me.
...unless Loki is more of an Usopp kinda goof. He could be lying about a bunch of stuff, including being the Sun God (not unlike Yamato with Oden) and knowing where Shanks is. I'd love it if the big, intimidating Giant turned out to be more Usopp than Luffy. Especially if he had a Devil Fruit to match. But that's not even speculation, I just think it'd be cool. Usopp with an Illusion-style fruit would have the best gag fights.

Loki is likely lying being he’s the trickster god. That’s if Oda is leaning into the mythology. Which knowing Oda he likely is.
