Since he isn't getting the main strap, give him the US title. He could elevate it. Then do a title vs. title (US/IC) with Cesaro at SS. :wow:

Also, anyone listen to the recent Jericho podcast with GNG? Them doing, or attempting, AJ's voice had me :dead:

Next month it will be Balor and all you lames won't give a fukk about AJ floundering around the midcard or tag division....

....not that you cared in Florida, but carry on :sas2:

Well ya know he was the biggest non WWE star at the time and with him being 38, they weren't gonna waste any time
Part of it also is marketing they just got the network popping in Japan and really want to expand in that market.

What better way to do that then push talent that was major stars in that market. When they market WWE in Japan its AJ, Finn, Asuka, Nakamura, Itami, Gallows & Anderson. Same reason The Great Khali got pushed so hard and was even made champ to capitally expanding there market in India

Yeah. Khali was edited to be a superface in India, too. Lol.

AJ wins...you heard it here first
Nope :russ: You really think they put the belt on Roman only for him to lose it in a month? Especially after him getting his "Wrestlemania Moment"? :mjlol:

True. Gallows/Anderson will cost AJ the match, then Balor will come to save AJ. Could have Balor turn on AJ also, but hate to waste his face power right off the bat.

They could :jbhmm: but that would be awful :scust: Much worse than what they're doing with him now

It wouldn't even be that bad, if they decided to turn one of these guys full heel. But they won't, forcing them both into tweener status, which ruins every storyline these guys have with anyone.

As noted earlier, AJ Styles is currently suffering from several nagging injuries and didn't wrestle at this week's SmackDown taping as a result. PWInsider.com now reports that AJ has been pulled from this weekend's live events so he can try to heal up. WWE wants AJ to recover as much as he can before his May 22nd Extreme Rules match against Roman Reigns for the World Heavyweight Title.

Styles was originally scheduled to wrestle on Friday in Greenville, SC, Saturday in Raleigh, NC, and Sunday in Columbia, SC, but those plans have now reportedly changed. It's unknown whether WWE intends to have Styles wrestle another singles match or not before the pay-per-view on the 22nd. There is one more episode each of RAW and SmackDown left before Extreme Rules.

AJ has back issues that flared up last year after working a busy independent schedule. He credits DDP Yoga with helping him rehabilitate his back.

Yoga keep a brother off the shelf.
